Acting like this is some traitorous act is rich when literally everyone on this board would do the same thing for the financial gain alone.

It's sports. We have our favorite teams. We root against the other teams.

When the Bengals play the Saints, I don't root for Joe Burrow.

The U.S. is my favorite team. This dude plays for the other team.

I will not root for him to beat my favorite team.

You've equated losing with tanking. I guess we're doing that, then sure.

What would make anyone think the players on the team give that much of a shite about next season to tank and underperform on purpose this season? A lot of them won't even be on the team next year.

The idea of tanking just never makes any real sense.

On another note, about the suggestion of "another brown bag season," just how many "brown bag seasons" have the Saints actually had in their history?

Since Jim Mora was hired in 1986, the Saints have won fewer than seven games only five times. Three of those were Ditka and one was Katrina.

So outside of the ill-fated Mike Ditka years and the anomaly of the Katrina season, the notion that the Saints are a horrendously bad franchise is a myth, especially in the last almost 35 years.

Maybe we do break the brown bags out this year, but it's been quite some time since we needed them.
Damn I didn't know. My bad.

Never heard Ditka referred to as "a breath of fresh air." Interesting perspective.
Brett Bech is a great name from Saints history.

Brett's nephew Jack will be a freshman at LSU this upcoming season.
