I'm not defending Doc on this but I think he really thought people on here might be more excited about this show. The dude constantly puts down my favorite band on here (Pearl Jam) but I don't go apeshit on him because I couldn't give two shits about his taste in music. It's a good pickup for the Varsity and I already know a bunch of people who said they're going and I'm sure it'll be sold out. If people don't like it, don't go. I will say I don't think the hype was worth the payoff though. Deftones are great but it was a little overhyped.

Solid booking for the Varsity and should sell out. However, it would have made a much better splash without all of the hype from the OP.

The haters are clueless....I actually sent out a group text to buddies after the announcement and one of my good friends also had the heads up on who it was but was sworn to keep it under wraps (almost positive y'all know each other, He's a local music scene guy)

Overhyped? Watch how fast it sells out. I'm going to say 30 mins, and thats being very generous. It might not be what you are into, but make no mistake this is a big one for BR ands the Varsity.

Any of you ever heard of the Vitamin String Quartet? They make covers of songs using orchestral string instruments and they did some Deftones stuff.

I've sen a few people say that they think Koi No Yokan is the best album yet. Just depends on preference I guess. I'm sure most of the concert will be classic hits anyway.

It is truly amazing some of the claims being made...If you don't like Deftones that's OK, don't buy the tickets...It will still sell out and a great time will be had by all that attend But most of the names you see making these comments are the same insufferable douches that troll TD almost daily...so it's not shocking
