Very good chance.

I would want a proven head coach if i were Auburn. Not a guy running Saban's defense.

Why would Smart want the Auburn job? Does he not know Auburn is about to get hammered by the NCAA? They are right?

Gotta be disappointed if you're an Auburn fan.

Tuscaloosa News:
"University of Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has interviewed for the head coaching position at Auburn, but the Crimson Tide’s sixth-year assistant coach might not be a primary candidate for the Tigers, sources close to the situation confirmed to The Tuscaloosa News on Monday night.
Smart, 36, has been among the most sought-after assistant coaches in the nation since last year, when he was tied to several job openings before ultimately remaining with the Crimson Tide and receiving a pay raise."

Well if the NCAA's source becomes our next HC then that should take care of everything, right?
Also, if he brings Scott Cochran and retains Trooper the NCAA will finally open that satellite office in Auburn :sarcasmfront:

If true, I'll need to lay off of TD for a couple of day's. Don't want to get banned.

Why oh why would you not hire Petrino if you're Auburn?
