My thoughts exactly.
They showed the entire first half and early 2nd half scores, then talk about the epic comeback.
FAIL.

Everything in the world had to go right for Barbe and it did. You just can't have that kind of stuff happen without some amazing luck. Barbe had the best athletes but Wm had the best team. WM ran at will on Barbe's D and you could kind of tell they went soft in the fourth just to run clock instead of score. I really believe had they recovered one onside kick they drive down and score easily. All you can do is tip your hat to Barbe and say you witnessed a miracle.

If WM recovers an onside kick, they'd be taking knees. Heck, if they get a first down, it's over.
As far as athletes, if you had to rate the top 15 in that game, 10 were from WM. 1. Quinn 2. Robinson (yup, he's a lean athlete), 3 . Fontenot, 4. Smith, then 5-15 would be all WM kids with Barbe's RB and Leger sprinkled in somewhere.

It's almost unbelievable that Barbe passes so much and did not have a turnover. Almost more mind boggling is that they had 0 holding penalties the whole game.

To hold, you must first try to block. Didn't happen much for Barbe
Seriously, WM has no complaints. The TE, who I loved, got away with at least 45 yards in PFs. Whining about the officiating ain't gonna fly.

Actually not complaining about officiating just amazing that they had no turnovers or holds. That is a great accomplishment for a team that passes that much. I actually thought the refs did a pretty good job.

Yeah, the game ended at about 9:50 and Sam had to shoot the highlights, edit them in the truck, feed them back and get ready for her live hit at 10:15. Just didn't have time to get all the TDs on the air.
She's doing a full recap tonight at 6 and I can post it if anyone's interested.

That could have been the worst sports report that I have ever seen
Far from his worst, should see when he does Drew vs You. Most of anything he does is very weak, just listen to a few if you don't believe me. The closest thing we get to sports is to switch to TV10 out of Lafayette.

these type of games make you realize how special of a sport football is..

Ground level footage sucks.

when you consider that fontenot basically scrambles every pass, it's not that difficult to imagine
they don't block like they're teh old evangel teams
Posted on 12/2/12 at 10:18 am to SlowFlowPro
That's why those old Evangel teams used to line the QB up almost as far back as the punter

they would also rush for 200 yards a game..

their offense does have a back yard football type feeling to it. receivers get open by breaking off their routes and finding holes in the coverage. tough for any defense to defend if you allow the QB to run wild like that.
