Stolen from the ESPN 97.7 facebook

quote:

Question of the day: Would you give sports up altogether for the $500 million Lottery payout?

First reaction upon seeing the question..."hell yeah." Then I started to think more about it. Do remember:

You can never watch sports again
You can't take part in any sport
You can't talk sports
You can't keep up with sports

I'm honestly torn. With the money, you're set for life. But on the other hand, sports is a big part of my life. I spend a ton of my spare time watching sports, I spend time on sports related websites and play when I have the chance. It'd be a huge lifestyle change but maybe my money could buy me a new hobby.

Is a life without fantasy football really worth living?

I don't care. Yes. I would give it all up yesterday for that much dough.

And I did consider all your points. I would give it all up for 1 million. Sorry. I'll buy a new hobby.

Not no but frick no. If I had that much money I'd want to use it to play golf everyday for the rest of my life. I'm only 22 so I'd probably just devote all my time and get an awesome golf coach and try and qualify for a mini tour one day.

Can't do that without playing sports.

I could move to the Carribean and sail around for awhile, but isn't sailing also a sport?

Would travel everywhere, and enjoy fine food and drink and women and forget about TV and sports for the rest of my days.
