I'd have Les Miles baby but he shouldn't get a statue before Skip Bertman

This proposal has gotten totally misconstrued and distorted.
The Athletic Dep't is amused by some of these posts...

I say a nice patch of St. Augustine grass. Les would be delighted!

I suspect that Miles' attitude about this is simiilar to mine. Statutes are for dead people. The Paterno statue wasn't an exception. He died in 1997. The Saban statue isn't an exception, since he has no living soul to begin with.

He would be the longest running good coach relatively speaking in the history of LSU. That would be a tenure that nobody would ever be likely to top.

Obviously, it needs to be a statue of him clapping as the players run back to the sidelines after a defensive stop.

Fingers all spread out and clapping with his palms.

If that were enshrined in a motionless statue Tiger Stadium would forever have a large mildly retarded looking dude bending over outside the gates staring at creeped out people as they averted their eyes and sheepishly skirted by.

THe AD guys say that ther has never been a plan for a Les Statue near Tiger Stadium.
It has always been a Parade Grounds concept in all the mock ups.
And since Ark and Michigan had offered Les bronzes, Alleva has settled on native Ohio granite.
Alleva hastens to add this has been in the works for years, but only recently was added to Les' contract.

TS doesn't currently have any statues, does it? If that's the case, I sure as hell wouldn't want the program to copy Alabama—that would flat out suck. shite, let's think of something different, more creative—like for Miles, maybe it's a huge rendering of a pair of testacles, in honor of the Lestacle thing. Just a thought.

I think we need a statue of JJ. Maybe throwing a shovel pass.

I can virtually promise you that JJ thinks we need a statue of JJ.

With a parade ground location, that shoudl tell you something about the scale of it.
It should be monumental and dominate the surrounding area, similar to what Ark proposed.
