Second, who gives a dang? LSU's defense is elite because of the talent we put there. Sure, co-coordinators screwed it up, but other than that our D has been elite this century, through multiple coordinators and two head coaches. Chavis is very good, but he's not in a class by himself.

Too funny! So you think he likes LSU more than Tennessee? Tennessee where he went to school, played football, and coached for two decades?
I sure do.........Because despite what you just wrote, people get older and sometimes they realize that somethings are meant to be the way they are now.

What?
So you saying the coordinator is not that important because of talent LSU has, but you said the co-coordinators didn't work and they had talent.
So talent alone doesn't win and you must have a quality coordinator!

Are you kidding me?
Chavis is the best defensive coordinator in college football. One of the best in the history of college football.

Surely not. UT treated him like shite just giving him the boot like that.
I hope he's bitter. My GF is from Knoxville and worked for his son though. (lawyer)
So he obviously still has ties there with family and whatnot.

Chavis is the highest paid assistant (I think) in the country for a very good reason. Your statement is flawed. You say it's because of talent and then you say the co coordinators didn't do good. I thought it was strictly because of talent?! Chavis is indeed in a league of his own and can be credited for a huge portion of Miles' success here. It would be a huge blow to LSU if he leaves.

That's because Chavis and Saban have been here this century. Two of the best defensive minds in college football

Chavis is not going anywhere. He's stated in the past he does not want to be a head coach. He is very comfortable in his position at LSU.

I meant the new head coach at UT would hire him to be the DC at UT

The only way Chavis would go to Tennessee is as the head coach. His time as Tennessee's D coordinator is long over. LSU is his new home.

UT shitted on him when they booted Fulmer, didn't even consider him as a HC and dumped him as a DC for Monty frickin Kiffen,

There is a difference in your gut and getting a feelings due to your own fears. I would say this came from the latter

Quit feeling and start thinking.

Disagree, respectfully. THere is an appropriate time for both. Most people mistake what feeling is. Feeling is letting go into the quantum world until a pattern makes itself clear. It is the mechanism of feeling that we should embrace, not WHAT we THINK we feel. Most people equate emotions to feeling. They are incorrect. The man you answered isn't feeling, he's fearing.

He will never leave LSU for Tennessee. Why would he? Sure he loves UT, but why would he, at his age, want to start again with a losing program. You make a good point, but his best chance at another BCS championship is at LSU, not with the Vols.

Does he love LSU more than Miles loves LSU. Miles was considering Arkansas why wouldn't the Chief consider UT?
