Miles didnt consider Arkansas. He just considered how much more money he wanted.

Who said Miles was "considering" Arkansas? They made him an offer, LSU countered. That's it. Miles was never going to Arkansas. He simply leveraged the offer to get a better deal from LSU.

Chavis-Has he coached his last game at LSU? Chavis was on that campus for something like 20 years, and they never hired him as the head coach. Why would this time be different?

Because Tennessee can't find somebody else who wants it?

Second, who gives a dang? LSU's defense is elite because of the talent we put there. Sure, co-coordinators screwed it up, but other than that our D has been elite this century, through multiple coordinators and two head coaches. Chavis is very good, but he's not in a class by himself.

Nope, I just have kids and a career........The rant lives in a world of absolutes and ideations, reality is far from this world.

Chavis has a top salary, all the personnel, resources, and autonomy he wants......

He has set himself up for his opus.

Chavis isn't coming back to Tennessee unless it's as head coach. Kill your conspiracy theories.

How about doubling his salary? You know he has to survive like poor Les does on peanuts.

I highly doubt Cutcliffe ever goes back to Tennessee. For a guy who has a serious heart condition, the Duke job is perfect. Low stress, not a lot of trouble off the field, manageable expectations.

Tennessee is in total rebuilding mode, and their only strength (the passing game) will be decimated in the next year. It will require a total commitment from the next head coach, not 50-hour weeks.

Tennessee won't pay him what LSU pays him. Not after they shell out for a new coach and hand Dooley his buyout checks.

It would really suck if he left as he is about the best there is as a true DC who calls the shots without any input from the head coach.

So, if Les Miles really has no input whatsoever on the defense (which is totally asinine), but if that's really true. Why on earth would Chavis leave a DC position where he has elite talent, he can do whatever the hell he wants, and makes $1m/year?

Do you people realize how dumb you sound sometimes?
