straight up the defense was very good tonite. end of discussion.
They played their best defensive football the last two weeks. .... The game against PBS should be a good one.

i wouldn't begrudge recruiting on any team that has to work for their W like Evangel did tonight... they earned their trip to the Dome
What part of the ref handing them the deciding score led you to this conclusion?

I'm tired of schools that give out "athletic scholarships" always making it to the state championship.
That would have been the case regardless of who would have won the game.

so its 1 vs. 2 in every class (unless 1A didn't get it. NOLA.com doesn't have their scores up)
I like:
Barbe over Rummel
Neville over Karr
Parkview over Notre Dame
Curtis over Evangel

Parkview going to make it 3 in a row over ND.
This PBS team is one of the most "athletic" they've ever had...

still a hard fought game... Dennis and Rob called it one of the best they'd ever seen

Take away the gift TD, at the time it occured, and Brossette might have gained 500 yards. We (he) imposed our will on them. The only time they tackled him all night was when he stumbled over them after knocking them on their asses. They come to our house, or we have competent officials, and we win by 2 touchdowns. Curtis is going to curbstomp them. Should see JT empty his bench relatively early in the second half. LHSAA got the 1 v 2 names they wanted in the Dome, but they screwed the better team in arriving there.

What specific player did Curtis recruit...be very specific Lester!
Dude, no high school team wins as much or as long as Curtis without recruiting.
Why are you being such a bitch about it.
Evangel, west Monroe, and Neville ALL recruit. Openly. It's not a big deal
Why are you whining.

quote:ND defense was in position and well coached, but EF OC lost the game. No way, with the weapons that EF has, was the game suppose to go like that. EF only ran the ball 2 times the first half . The run was there, but EF never went to it.

Notre Dame Were fortunate to come out with the win.
LOL WUT.....ND defense was dominant tonight.

Also there was two really bad calls in the EF/ND game. First that bs personal foul on ND first scoring drive, and that penalty on the onside kick. No one called a fair catch.

Dont put neville in that group

What was the final score last night between Neville and McD 35?
I saw McD 35 play last week and was impressed with their two running backs, one of which had outstanding speed. How did Neville shut these two guys down? Also, the McD 35 QB had a decent arm, so guess he didn't have time to throw?

PBS better hope they win this year. They ain't winning another with the big boys set to enter 3A next year.
U-High deserved that game last night. Sad that they had to travel to Shreveport two weeks in a row.
Proud of Holy Cross and Coach Barry Wilson for reaching the Semis. What a great comeback story after losing everything to Katrina!

I would normally agree with you that you just have to get over it and deal with it...however, all I'm saying is that having the three worst offenders all in 2A (Curtis, Evangel, and Calvary) make 2A's playoffs an absolute joke. I guess I'm getting old and just feel sorry for the kids today that they end up playing for the one open slot in 2A's semifinals against one of those three schools, instead of getting a chance to ever go to the finals. I love everyone saying this^^, as if PBS is some chump like U High.. 4 out of the last 6 years they've been to the dome and the other 2 years were semifinal losses. They consistently play and beat 5A teams in predistrict(Acadiana, Catholic2x, East St. John, Central 2X, etc) just because they don't send guys D1 every year like evangel or JC doesn't mean they can't hang with them, lol, give me a break. Trust me, no one at PBS is scared of "the big boys"

Also there was two really bad calls in the EF/ND game.
How about two consecutive holding calls in the 4th quarter on ND on quick runs that gained zero yards.
Also, EF was fortunate to get the second touchdown on a tipped ball that ended up in a different receiver's hands.
