How can losing to an unranked, non winning record team by 28 only drop them 4 spots?

He's just guessing. He's guessing on where the voters will drop K State. He has no idea.

They padded their ranking with a few impressive wins.
ETA: And what the Boat said.

They had some good wins but jeez. Raped like a pen state freshman...

I would assume that's his best guess.
I see them falling further than that. They didn't just lose, they got torched by an unranked team. That should hurt them. I'm guessing somewhere around 8 or 9.
Then again, I thought Florida would be hurt by farting out a win over ULL who never should've been in the game. The Florida teams I'm used to seeing would've had the game over in the middle of the 2nd qtr. so what do I know.

Like others said...his best guess. Paging LSUMatt!

He said 4-7, Oregon, fla, k state, and LSU, is a tossup.

Apart from Oregon the other contenders for rankings all have 2 losses. At some point 1 loss >> 2 losses.

Brad did say he really had no idea with the 5 spot... said several teams have a rightful claim to that 5 spot

Pollsters need to punish them for getting their shite pushed in by Baylor.
No business being 5.

Good to hear.
I didn't see/hear what he had to say.
I will agree that he is right saying that but one of those teams is not K. State.
That's the bad part about losing late in the season IMO.

LSU dropped 6 spots from 4-10 after losing to Florida by 8.
K-State got housed by Baylor from start to finish. They should be around #9
My best guess:
1 - ND
2 - Bama
3 - UGA
4 - Oregon
5 - Florida
6 - LSU
7 - aTm
8 - K-State
9 - S Carolina
This might be one of those times when the love for aTm would cause voters to put them ahead of K-State, which means LSU is two spots better on human polls. If this happens, then a Florida loss would probably put LSU in the #4 spot assuming we beat Arky. The kicker would be, what if UGA beats Bama. I think Bama would still stay above LSU in the polls and get the #4 spot b/c they get favorable treatment compared to everyone else.
We'll see though.

What if UGA loses to Ga Tech, then beats Bama?

I agree with this list except why Oregon over Florida? Florida has one loss and that was to #3 Georgia (10-1) and that was earlier in the season. Oregon just now lost to #13 Stanford (9-2) and Florida had a tougher schedule.

Well, Oklahoma state lost to an unranked team last year and got a lot of love here

I believe they had beaten more ranked teams than BAMA last year, and also, that was the same week of a certain plane crash as well....
Go back to BAMA gump!
