Dutchess

La folie (give any of the lips of faith series a try, but la folie is the best)
1809 Berliner weiss
Cantillon - any of them
Russian River Supplication
Not sure if RR or the Cantillon is in Houston

Epic has a Sour Apple Saison that a former girlfriend really enjoyed. It was pretty tart. Gave me lockjaw

Oh the glory if we could get RR in Texas

Jester King Boxers revenge was a really good Texas sour. However, I don't think you can find it anymore. Be on the look out for Funk Metal (sour stout) and Buddhas Brew (green tea infused sour) over the next couple of weeks. Both are by Jester King, Funk Metal will be easier to come by than Buddhas Brew.

Just getting Firestone Walker is awesome

I haven't tried a sour beer here in the states. I bought a Berliner Kindl with no flavor in Berlin when I was living out there and thought it was not my thing. Those of you on the sour beer train,is that what i can expect or should I try more?

Try a monks cafe, vichtenaar or better yet a duchesse de bogogne (sp?) or a nice lambic (may be too sweet).
You prob had a Berliner weisse. 1809 is a good one if you want to revisit the style.

NB Le Folie is the best I've had, but I have a JK Boxer's Revenger waiting for me at home

Not more than one bottle by chance? I would love to get my hands on another one.

I came across JK Das Wunderkind (sour saison) tonight, so you might be able to score that in Houston.

For the mother sour, the sour all others spring from, Rodenbach Grand Cru. It's available in Dallas so I'm sure its in Houston.
