Once I kill a deer and skin it, I need a plastic bag to put it in for the trip to the processor. Anyone have a suggestion?

Why a bag?
I guess a heavy duty lawn and leaf bag would work, but I always put it in an ice chest.

I just use my cooler and wash it out good after I get the meat out of it.

Whats wrong with an ice chest. Not sure I would leave it out of one long.

Like everyone else I use contractor bags. That is if I can get to the walk in cooler soon. If not I quarter it and throw it in a chest.

Remember that black bag gets hot quick. Hotter then out side temps. Saw a guy ruin a deer with a black bag leaving it out.

Yep

Ice is a must in Louisiana. In Montana the black bag would work.

Just use an ice chest. Drop some block ice in for the trip and you should be good. Easy to clean after and still good for food/drink use.

Why would you skin it if you aren't going to at least quarter it and put it in an ice chest immediately?

White garbage bags, ice chests, drum liners all work fine. You are over-thinking this process a bit

Processor is really close by...I like for them to hang in his cooler at least a day before he begins his work. IMO..a quartered deer you bring in may not be the one you pick up.

In my case, the processor is on the way home. Skin the deer, but leave it whole. Place the bag over the deer, put it in back of truck and head to the processor. Quartering just makes more work.
