wait, i should change the title, im finally getting a puppy... yea thats better.

finally got a solid paying job, decent hours, SO works from home, so she would be here the whole time.

trying to figure out the right breed, and where to get him/her from.

trying to decide between a lab or a German Shepherd or a Belgian Malinois.

i have had all labs my whole life, but my grandad had a GS and i loved that dog.

i know GS shed a lot thats why im also looking at BM, anyone have experience with BM? how are their temperaments?

wont be getting him/her for a few months. maybe an Xmas present

also i have been looking at chocolate labs, where should i look for getting one?

My vote would be Lab, but thats because I have one.

Honestly, whatever you end up going with you will be happy, they are all great breeds of dogs. Goodluck!

For a pet/inside dog?

A lab will rip your house apart. No experience with the other two.

It's own fault for not having a collar.

Lots of energy, very hyper. be prepared to go on lots of runs/walks to get the energy out or they will get destructive

You're not getting a dog for a specific task, according to your OP, and would be better off just adopting a mutt for about $60.

out of those, i would get the malinois. dont get a german shepherd. almost every german shepherd ive met, i didnt really like but thats just me. Don't get a fricking lab. they shed, they stink, they're dumb, and they're ubitquitous throughout the south. get something unique.

Pugs are like miniature tanks, badass little dogs. I would suggest an American Bulldog, loyal, fun, energetic, hardheaded,, good with kids, and will scare the hell out of anyone coming to your house.

My three dogs include a cocker spaniel, morkie, and chihuahua. Yes, I am married to a wonderful woman who loves dogs. BTW, do not get the wrong impression because I am known as MrPredator on the LA Sportsman web site.
