easily available would Honey Crisp or Pink Lady, IMO

The best I've ever had though was from some farm stand in Washington. Forget the variety.

Honey Crisp, although my husband is the true apple connoisseur in the family.

A good crisp Granny Smith is the best.

I saw a mini Pink Lady at Rousses last weekend. I will have to try it.

Granny smith! Although, any of them stewed is my favorite way to eat them!

I love the Honey Crisp, however my wife turned me on to Macintosh recently. They are freaking delicious!

of the ones you usually find in your average grocery story, i only buy granny smith. i love a really crunchy and tart apple.

we also get some great varieties at a local orchard but I can never remember the names.

it really saddens me that it does not get cold enough in the South to grow apples

I would love to have my own apple trees

I don't know man

Don't you live in Shreveport? If so, as soon as you walk in the Krogers on Youree, they have them right now in a big bin. They are really good right now too.

you can order some from yankee places, if not too late in the year... a few weeks ago, most of the orchards only had a few left, but man were they great, fresh...

happy, happy, happy...
