I love nice restaurants, but I always have to eat dinner about an hour before we go b/c of serving sizes like that. I hate being hungry and being served three mouthfuls of food.

That place sells small plates though

You order a few things and share

It's not like you are paying 18 dollars for one of these dishes

yea i think the bill was around $58-60. for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, a bloody mary, and 2 beers i think its a good price for the amount you get.

unless you are a very big man, the portions there are perfect imo. eating anymore than an appetizer and an entree there is just gorging yourself

not a bad thing if thats what you like to do. i was more along the lines of talking about how people bitch at the portion size. if its not some giant plate of food suitable for your final meal on earth, they bitch and complain.

Love boucherie. Great contemporary menu with unique pairings of flavors. The food is well executed. The prices are reasonable. Like the cozy atmosphere (I hate stuffy restaurants). The beer selection is great for a place like that. The overhead music is even right up my alley.

Oh, and I have gotten reservations at dinner before.

Went to Boucherie a few months ago. Everyone enjoyed the food. Very inexpensive. Entrees were not very large, but was just enough food. I had the ribs, it was one of the larger entrees we ordered. Would definitely go again. The food was really good for the price. Make reservations. They do fill up fast.

Tots, you're pretty off base in here buddy.

Boucherie might be the best restaurant for the price in the city. And the portions are fine. Get two apps, an entree each and a dessert. If you get something like the Brisket its more than enough.

Never said it wasn't...I just said the portions were tiny-never mentioned anything about price. I've never been there, just judging by the pictures.

I've only been once and got the BBQ brisket. It was enough for me.

But yeah, the dishes LL ordered looked small. She only weighs 95 lbs though. No wonder she was full.
