OU was the first to expose it last week, and WV will do the same this week.

Not gonna argue with you there. I didn't bet Tech against Iowa St for that reason and they came out an played a decent game on the road, for that reason I bet them against OU and got burnt.

I think the only thing they can hang their hat on for Tech is looking at the model Maryland provided, Tech seems to have a similar style defense, and a much better offense.

Like I said I doubt I play either side, I just wanted to give reasons why the so called "sharps" may like Tech. Because to the average bettor, this game is an absolute no brainer.
Just shocks me that Vegas gets so cocky in these spots, I guess they really fear they would get pounded by the wise guys, but still 85% of the money is going to come in on WVU.

You're obviously more experienced at this than I am (so I say this reluctantly), but considering Oklahoma is the first legitimate non middle school team Texas Tech has played, their stats almost mean zero to me.

Opponents

NW State
Texas State
New Mexico
Iowa State
Oklahoma (Lost by 3 TD's)

Again, I am a novice at this sports betting thing, but I can't take any defensive stat from Texas Tech seriously with those opponents.

Not to mention their only legit competition, OU, smashed them on their own field. As square as it sounds, I can't in good conscience take Tech to stop an offense like WVU's. I just can't.

ETA: Posted this before I saw your response above.

Your good people dcrews,
and everyone is only as good as their next bet.

But in all honesty I just like to throw my two cents in the forum. The bet thread has been real strong the last few weeks and we have a ton of posters in here with some real knowledge.
Tots, Tebow, rocket, Hole, avatiger, bamafan, ChemE, all come to mind (I know I am leaving people out so spare me).
The people who just pop in this thread have a few winning weeks in a row now which is great.

Yeah, RAS has had some bad weeks this year. Still tailing but my confidence is gone in him. Hoping this week turns it around. Luckily, my own picks have keep me afloat.

Lol maybe I'll tune it back a bit on the Heels, but they pulled through for me last week, in a big way.
Then again I have bet against Va Tech every week, and only Bowling Green has failed me so far.

I thought it would be 38. I lean under probably probably won't bet it.

No need for the points in this one. I'm taking the the Texas Tech ML. I've been waiting for the perfect time to fade WVU all year and this is it. Should be easy $.

Lol. This board is gonna be split this week it seems. If we have learned anything about this season, it's that no team is really good, except maybe Alabama.

Really like this play. Vegas must be expecting a look ahead to WV. But I'll bite- Kansas St still seems quite underrated to me right now.

Some plays I'm looking at

Stanford +9
This on seems like a no brainer.. Stanford plays good D and will slow down ND.. Expect a low scoring game where a FG may be the difference

Duke +10.5
VT is bad... Duke is playing well this year and will become bowl eligible with a win

Ole Miss -4.5
Seems too low.. Playing at home with a decent offense against an Auburn offense that cannot score

La Tech +8
Home crowd will be rocking! Texas A&M is solid, I'm just not sold that they can stop anyone. Expect a shoot out with the winner being the last team with the ball

Kentucky +17
I know Kentucky is bad and Arkansas won last week but this seems like way too many points to me. Kentucky will be able to score some and let's face it, it's still Arkansas

I like the Kentucky play. I've actually been fading them most of the year, but 17 is too many points, even on the road.
