I wouldn't go out on a limb and say it's "ruined", but Reach was definitely a miss on the franchise.

And Splinter Cell gets my vote. Everything has to be an action game now.

Diablo
Warcraft
Starcraft (not quite yet, but if things I've heard are correct, heart of the swarm will flop)
Final Fantasy
Battlefield will soon be heading this direction

These companies need to take a queue from Valve. Always produce quality products and the end results will be better.

Final Fantasy. Not sure if it was money that ruined it, but there is no doubt its ruined. And I'm sure they didn't change shite because they thought they would make less money...

Halo has not been ruined. Kingdom Hearts is certainly gone to shite.

a few posters don't play it. therefore, series was ruined by money.....

regardless of the fact that millions of other people around the world still buy each and every version that comes out. with numbers only increasing year by year.

.....reminds me of those friends everyone has that only listens to groups that no one has ever heard of. The one who only listens to obscure bands, shuns anything more popular than that, yet has a typical 9 to 5.

If their song is played on the radio or hits iTunes, that friend will be the first to tell you that they are the new Nickelback. You try to let them educate you on music, only to find out they are listening to some weird awful shite. Like a group of Canadian ginger rappers, rapping George Straight lyrics in Spanish, recording out of their apartment in Ohio.

I'm glad I don't read much into the advice the critics around here give or I might end playing some really weird shite just to stay as edgy as they are.

I don't completely agree on these two. Halo Reach had one of the best campaigns of the entire series.

Dragon Age 2 was just a bad idea executed poorly. I hope they get back to the main story in DA3.

How was Resident Evil ruined because of money? RE4 was the best game in the series. RE5 was pretty solid and 6 has a ton of mixed reviews. It isn't like they have pumped these games out quickly either.
