I agree varys knew that if he could tyrion would kill tywin
I beleive that varys and littlefinger are working together. between the two of them (and cersei being an absolute retart) they have virtually destroyed the 7 kingdoms and are the only reason cersei is still queen regent.
Also i think the crows eye is working with varys and littlefinger (going to ferry deanerys to the vale and littlefinger who has the vale aswell as the riverlands (thanks to tywin) and the north (sansa)
Dont know what part dorne will play though they are a bit of a wildcard at the moment

Welcome to the board, but there is just no way that is true

My literary prediction is that during book 7, as a magical conflict unfolds with Jon, Dany, dragons and Others, a separate political contest will be unfolding between Tyrion, Varys, and Littlefinger to determine the ultimate victor in the game of thrones.
I haven't really thought about it, but I think this is correct in that the endgame will be between these 3: The masterminds behind the person in power. Littlefinger will rule The North, the Vale, and the Riverlands; Varys the South, with Dorne, The Reach, the Stormlands, and the Crownlands; Tyrion with the Golden Company and Dany's Army. I'm sure that Aegon will sack King's Landing by the end of Book VI, but my question is what happens to the troops of Casterly Rock?

Seriously. Can't think of any two characters less likely to ever be allies.

I think Cersei gets them killed.

Tyrion leads the Second Sons through the drains for a surprise attack.

I would think they will do whatever Jaime tells them to, LC of the KG/ non-heir to "The Rock" or not.
...or is there some way Lancel, with the backing of The Faith (and The "Holy" Hound) takes over, with no eligible male heirs left?
ETA: speaking of the Endgame...are we remiss in not considering what The Citadel/ Maesters' plans are?
and what was this GOT Easter Egg? I didn't see Shameless last night, but I would've been too busy gawking at Fiona, as usual

I'm clueless honestly.

I'm curious where Jaime's arc goes. No possible way Non-Cat spares him due to "Jaime Lannister sends his regards". Do you think the Brienne will save him at the last minute, and the flee off together? Does anyone else think Jaime and Brienne fall in love?

I'm thinking Lancel will have some huge part to play in the end. I'm curious how he'll respond to his father's murder.

Speaking of Jaime...when I was flipping through Swords and Crows last night looking for Tyrion's escape:
I came across Jaime rec'ing the letter from Cersei with all the "Need you/ I love yous" repeated...found it interesting that it was the 0ld Maester of Riverrun (Vyman or something like that) who actually read it before giving it to Jaime...then Jaime gives it back to him to burn.
Jaime had just forced Edmure to yield the castle and Brynden Blackfish escaped...would Vyman remain loyal to House Tulley and keep this letter
Could be used to help prove Tommen's illigitimacy?
And:
In same chapter, Jaime has a dream about a blonde-haired woman, dressed as a Silent Sister. She says Tywin had always dreamed that his son would be a great knight and his daughter a queen and that no one would laugh at them. When Jaime replies that his son is a knight and his daughter is a queen, a tear rolls down the woman's cheek and she walks away.
Could this be Joanna Lannister, knowing that Tywin in truth had no daughters...only a son? and that son is no knight...and weeping because Jaime still believes Tywin is his father? Making the Mad King / Prima Nocte theory even stronger, since the twins were born before Tyrion?
In a preceeding chapter, Jaime has a private conversation with his aunt Genna (wife of Emmon Frey) where she kicks her husband out to talk to Jaime in private, giving him advice on how to handle the Riverrun siege.
At last, they discuss Lord Tywin, and Jaime asks her if she loved her eldest brother. Lady Genna tells him how it was Tywin, a boy of only ten, who objected to their lord father's decision to wed the seven year old Genna to Emmon Frey, who was not even the heir to the Twins. For that alone, she loved him, stating, "...every little girl needs a big brother to protect her. Who will protect us now?" When Jaime insists that he is his father's son, his aunt replies, "You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg, and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak... but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you."
More of Martin's double-talk?
Hmmmmm.

No. I just interpreted it as Jaime and Cersei losing everything and living a life of misery to get to that point. There is even less doubt that Jaime and Cersei are of Tywin and Johanna than Tyrion is.
