I heard JL had a legal issue for which miles benched him.

I don't know if I believe it but that's what a high school coach told me who was on sidelines at the NC game and is first name basis with frank Wilson.

Unless JL's father knew nothing about this so-called legal issue, that story is total fiction.

Miles made the decision to play his guy, and likely was unwilling to make a change because any other QB on the roster would have played better than JJ on that night, and it would have made Miles look foolish. There is no other rational explanation.

Why didn't he play JL?

Because he had a career tenancy to pass the ball to Alabama players?

Lets put two and two together. There were rumors all through Decemeber that there was something going on with Lee. Not going to class... DWI... etc. Then he obviously should have played but didn't!

Putting two and two together it looks like SOMETHING was going on with Lee and he was punished.

I had heard that Mett had a cut hand and now I hear Miles say his hand was hurt. This is the only logical explanation for what happened in the NC game. But for those that want to just say Miles is an idiot, go right ahead.

yes, I'm sure Miles was much more content with losing 21-0 with JJ vs. changing QB's and possibly winning the game. How embarrassing that would have been for him.

Yeah the story I alluded to above is JL had a DUI. FWIW.

There was a legal issue but it was an eligibility issue that kept JL out on 1/9. LSU knew about this weeks in advance and Mett took a lot more reps than normal.

Did you watch the game? That was the worst QB performance I have ever seen, and I am getting old and have seen lots of football.

It is not possible that we didn't have another QB that could be tried in that game.

I've heard this from a coach who has a few low key connections at LSU. Like 4 months after January. In theory this seems a little more plausable.

Here is the basic story. Lee was frustrated about taking a knee the last few games. During christmas break Lee stayed in Texas longer to do some hunting. Miles was frustrated that he missed several workouts/meetings hence being black listed in NC.

1/9 was a better performance than the SEC Championship Game. That's how shitty JJ played against UGA.

Seriously, when it comes to JJ, Miles is incapable of the truth. Tom Brady would have ridden the pine under Miles during JJ's senior campaign.
