I'm sure we'll just go with some young, "promising" apparel sponsorship =\

I can only assume that Andy Man is excited because Eboue is coming back.

Interesting perspective on Stan Kroenke from the St. Louis Rams' beat writer. The Rams are in London to play the Patriots and of course, Stan owns both the Rams and Arsenal.

Only saw the second half, but I'm really not impressed with Ramsey. Sorry Glass

He slowed down play and got stripped of the ball too easily.

But seriously this was scary. I think Arteta was offsides. Julio Cesar played out of his mind good.

Ramsey has a penchant for losing the ball, it's a fact of life, he almost had a great header earlier in the game but otherwise meh

How'd Wilshere look? Didn't get to watch the game

33/33 passes complete in the first half.

Actually looked like our best midfielder.. Not sure if I'm happy or sad about that

Ramsey was decent, if not unspectacular today. Who Scored, has him with a 8.2 rating and an 87% pass completion percentage. He's being played out of position on the right.

Ramsey is painfully average and whoscored's metric is very arbitrary from what I've found.

Who Scored ratings average all of the player ratings from various other news outlets. It's a decent system considering a "6" could be a good rating from a harsh critic, or an average rating from a more lenient rater.

I think you are either confused or I have misread their own description of their rating system. It's an algorithm they have devised based on quantifiable raw data. It's decent to a certain extent, but should never be used to definitively say how well a player performed.

All events are valued based on a researched perception of the effect on the outcome of the match. Positive events are valued against negative events.

I've got it DVR'd waiting for later. I just don't understand why Wenger forces players out wide to play out of position while there are other options available to him, who can actually play the wing.

Their managerial staff is also below average.

You mean two time Champions League winning manager Carlo Ancelotti?

Ancelotti was above average for Chelsea, but he was a great manager for AC Milan.

1) Ramsey needs to stop being played on the wing

2) I know he was coming back from injury, but Walcott needs to be re-signed and started on the wing. Yeah he's inconsistent and frustrating times, but we also look much more dangerous with him on the pitch. Ox isn't ready to be out there full time, and despite his goals this year Gervinho shouldn't be a starter at Arsenal.

I've waited a while to reach a consensus on Ramsey but today he drove me to the conclusion that he's just not up to snuff right now. maybe some of you are right that he's being played out of position, but a few errant or needless, overly-ambitious passes frustrated the frick out of me today. for sentimental reasons I'd love for him to play well, but if you're being realistic he's been disrupting our midfield flow almost all season.

on the opposite end of appraisal, wilshere, for a return performance especially, was a sparkplug for 60 mins. Fantastic to see him seamlessly drop back in and be as dangerous as ever.

Yeah, I agree. His horrific injury recovery grace period has ended. He's best as a number 10, but he's probably the fourth best no 10 on our squad. The drop off from Diaby to him has been undeniable. He's had ample opportunities, but his moments of promise have lessened.

I was surprised at how good Jack was today. Glad to gave him back.

If everyone is healthy, I would be surprised if Ramsey made the bench. I've long been a supporter of him, but he's not been good enough lately. I hope for his sake his recovery is like Rosicky's rather than Eduardo's. The way he takes too many touches on the ball shows that he still lacks a lot of confidence. There was a visible difference between Wilshere and Ramsey in that regard, as Wilshere was quick with his passes and drove at players with his dribbles. I do appreciate Ramsey's workrate and running, though I don't expect too much of him when he has the ball.

Very good point. He's been thrust into the spotlight because of all these injuries.

At his best as a the right mid, he's a James Milner clone; heavy workrate, very little in terms of creating chances.
