I think it's time to stop pretending that he's kayak fishing.

Don't think I could pay $4600 for that new PA, but man do I want it. I've watched several videos and it looks amazing.

I was in the market for a kayak a few years ago and I tested out the Vibe Sea Ghost at P&P. Right after I tested it I tested a Jackson and I left right after. No way I was purchasing the Vibe. It felt cheap and unstable compared to that Jackson. This new kayak does not appear to be a game changer at all.
On that note, that new Hobie drive is a game changer but not at that price.

Pretty cool. I don't understand why so many people feel the need to post some bullshite song on their videos. I see it all the time on outdoor videos especially. I don't need to hear Imagine Dragons or AC/DC, just talk lol.

The first few GoPro videos I did were set to music. Then, after watching them a few times, I realized how annoying it was.
Now I just bleep out all of my expletives.

Man the price point boats are so different than when I bought my ascend 5 years ago. The Wildy Patrol at 1050, Perception Outlaw at $649, and redesigned Feel Free Moken 12.5 at $799 are great looking options. I’m thinking about getting a 2nd non pedal yak in the next year and all these options look like good ones.

Had a talk with a hobie guy who tested the 360 a while back. He thinks the new 360 is going to blow out the door? I’m like not at that price point. He obviously disagrees. He needs to take the hobie glasses off. The drive looks pretty cool, but I’ll buy a boat at that price

Agreed. I just can't see enough people willing to pay almost $5k for a kayak. That's just crazy to me and I absolutely love fishing from a yak.

Jackson Bite looks legit at $799 too.

Exactly. You can get one of these here in texas for 5-6k new

people have been saying this about Hobie kayaks for over 10 years now. They are still easily the number one brand in the market and it's not close. You're only looking at sales coming from guys that want the $1500 kayak and trying to step up. There's a whole lot of small boat owners that are looking to step down for lower maintenance, lower cost, etc.

The hardcore Hobie guys will buy it. Especially the KBF guys.

quote:A buddy of mine tried talking me into buying a Pro Angler about 8 or 9 years ago and I told him he was insane if he thought I would spend $2500 on something without a motor. Flash forward a few years and Pro Anglers are everywhere and I probably have over $4500 into mine so far between the kayak itself, power pole, lowrance and h crate.
I just can't see enough people willing to pay almost $5k for a kayak.
Mine's only a year old, so I'm not looking to upgrade anytime soon. But I guarantee that if you go to a kayak tournament a few months after they release the 360, you're going to see a few of those blue camo PA 360's out there.

Yeah my outback was 1600 brand new (got a killer deal). My next purchase will be a technical skiff if anything. Frick paying 5g to do all the work myself
