My little girl is stuck on Bee Movie by Dreamworks and I can tell a difference in quality between that film and a Pixar film. Pixar is way more detailed and innovative IMO.

BTW, I saw the Pixar Story last night on CNBC...not a bad documentary.

The older Disney 2-D films and most of the 90s 2-D films are much more enjoyable than some of the Pixar flicks. I also enjoyed Despicable Me, Tangled, & Enchanted (partially animated). Still need to see Rango.

I love the Toy Story movies, Ratatouille, & Up though.

I enjoyed all of the hand drawn Disney movies exponentially more than the pixar ones. There were some good stories like Wall-e, up, toy story... but to me an animated movie is more enjoyable when hand drawn as opposed to CGI where they are made to look more like us.

Maybe not "more than" but definitely as much as...

Iron Giant
The Lion King
Shrek

We started family movie night a few months ago. My son loves all the old Disney classics. We watch those and mix in a little new stuff. The new Madagscar is the best one of those films, but it still doesn't match the feel of the Pixar movies to me.

To answer the question...
Bambi
The Lion King
Tangled
Shrek (just the first one)
Megamind
(I am sure there are a lot more I am forgetting.)

Shrek 1 and Rango are the only ones on your list that come close to the Pixar standard IMO. The Miyazaki films are great too, but kind of a different category.

Incredibles, one of my top 10 favorite movies EVER fwiw

Miyazaki's entire film library (saw my self listing 8 of them, so I figured I'd just brief it to that)

This. Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are fantastic and probably my favorite out of Miyazaki's filmography. Very moving films.

Another animated film that I absolutely love, but wouldn't call an instant "Pixar-like" classic would be Meet the Robinsons. So underrated. I will honestly admit that the first time I watched it I teared up.

The Shrek series is pretty good too. (With the exception of Part 3)

Snow White
Bambi
Fantasia
Dumbo
and on and on and on...

Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians hold up really well.

Great Mouse Detective and Rescuers Down Under are vastly underrated.

Every year, Japan outdoes Pixar.

Iron Giant is a classic.

Batman... Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker...

Pixar has a niche, but they're not the be all and end all of animation.

I love The Lion King but eh...I've always preferred Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin to it.
