Hey guys, I am trying to pick a wedding date for November of 2013 and would HATE to be that girl that picks the Alabama/LSU weekend so is there a rule of thumb where it is always the first Saturday of the month of November or anything like that? Or should I just skip the first 2 weekends just to be sure? Thanks!

Edit- Never mind

You should skip the whole football season and get married in the spring. You're going to be "that girl" with pretty much any weekend you pick.

I'm sorry. I misread and thought you asked for 2012. I'm the dumbass.
Just do early to mid October and you will be fine.

It has been the first weekend in November for a while. But with the added teams, rumors of the re-shuffling of the schedule (see Arkansas and A&M), it would be nearly impossible to accurately predict the schedule next season.
August or December wedding.

quote:my sister (no pics) got married during the bye week. I got three wedding invites one year during the bye week. It's very popular so you might end up scheduling your wedding at the same time some one else is too.

You're gonna p!ss him off no matter what. Your honeymoon will run into at least one, and more likely two games no matter what.
BTW-Pics?
EDIT: We chose the last Saturday before Football Season but I effed up and didn't realize that we'll be on the coast on our honeymoon for the home opener. Oh well. Just one game.

My wife and I got married the last weekend before football season in 2007. We wanted to go on our honeymoon and be back in time to see the opening game on Saturday. LSU ended up playing Miss St on Thursday night in the NCAA opener that year so we got back just in time to watch the 2nd half of that game! I wouldn't schedule during football season.
