Off the top of my head, Eades last 4 starts:

Oregon St. - win
Ms St - 7 shutout innings, Cotton and Goody blew it (PM didn't give up on them)
South Carolina - I think 1 run through 7 innings... Win
Vandy - Goody blew the lead in the 9th

People need to quit acting like Eades game is an automatic loss.

I guarantee you whoever doesn't pitch Friday between Gausman/Nola will be pitching Sunday if LSU wins game 1.

You guarantee that?

I think Broski is in way over his head with what he thinks was prior set precedent.

Yeah, Broski needs to look at LSU's 2009 Super Regional rotation.

MAYBE he's talking about the Championship series where we went Coleman, Ross, Ranaudo.

That's a dumb argument though because Ranaudo wasn't ready to pitch game 2. He still needed the rest.

It didn't have anything to do with Mainieri thinking "oh we won game 1 so I can shite around with Ross and hope he wins game 2 for us."

It's the new philosophy, skip your best available pitcher in case you have to play game 3.

It's already been established that that is exactly what I'm talking about.

Not a new philosophy at all. Some coaches do it and it stems from the 1 seed in the regional saving their ace for game 2.

Well no one knows why that is so because the Super Regionals and Championship Series of the CWS have a little bit different things going on. Doubt I'd have to remind anyone of that but... Yeah.

And I said why you bringing that up makes no sense.

That isn't close to being the same thing. You're comparing game 2 of a regional vs game 3 of a Super, not to mention the difference between a #4 in the regional first round and a SR opponent.

Other than it being in Omaha, the format is exactly the same.

I don't think Eades is crap but I'd still be worried about him against that lineup

After these supers finish, lets look at the game 2's and see how many teams throw their #3 instead of #2. It will be 50/50, just like it was last year
