What do you think?
I have a jar of the stuff thanks to internet friends from Australia. I'm a bit disappointed, though, because this one is Kraft cheddar cheese blended and would have preferred to taste the unembellished stuff.

Never had it but I did read an article last month that they might stop producing it in Australia. Can't remember the reason. Might've been poor sales among the younger generation.

I had it 2x when I lived in Australia. They put a very thin layer of it on toast. Supposedly very healthy...just tastes nasty.

I really like the stuff they gave me. Kinda tastes like CheezWhiz with dark beer blended in.

I've tried it. It was pretty terrible. It was a newer squeeze tube of it from a coworker who's ex lives in Australia. She said her son loves it since he grew up with it. She said she never acquired a taste for it.
It tasted like liquefied beef bullion with extra salt and yeast mixed in. I think you have to grow up eating it to like it.

I buy it to put into food I cook. It's actually yeast extract and it's in all kinds of foods you buy. It has a lot of glutimates, so it adds a savory, salty taste.

No, but one day I asked this guy, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich.

I've had it. It's VERY salty. Use in moderation.

My SO brought a jar back from Aus. a couple of years ago. It lasted almost a year. You don't have to refrigerate it. I developed a strange taste for it after a while.
It tasted best after a few cold ones, and I believe it started as a bar food. Aussies get drunk in the outback bars and brewers yeast is cheap, plentiful, and salty.
I think Kraft is the main manufacturer of the version sold in stores.
