Per Casey in Oregonian, it looks to be big, bad Dan Child on the mound. Oh yeah. Unlike what seems many LSU fans think, OSU's here to win this puppy not just be here...going to be a battle tonight!

"It will be a matchup of College World Series rings – three of the last six – at Alex Box Stadium, and of hard-throwing right-handers.

OSU coach Pat Casey moved Dan Child up a day, and not just to give weary Ben Wetzler another couple of days’ rest.

LSU struggles against right-handed power pitching, with a righty-heavy lineup. Child has a mid-90s fastball with a sink that earned him a spot on USA Baseball’s collegiate national team."

I'd say we struggle more against hard throwing lefties. Although we have a lot of right handed hitters, it's just an assumption we struggle against righties but we mash hard throwing right handed pitchers.

The Sweaty Beavs are getting mashed tonight.

F me in the goat arse.

I was just about to start a thread with a link to this very same article.

But for a very different reason.

You buried the lede, brah.

Look at the very last line of that article.

Link love for Chicken.

Because even the Oregonian knows this is the epicenter of the sports universe.

I've lived in Beaverton for ten years and still don't know where to go to see what Beaver fans are saying on the Interwebz (other than OregonLive or the Gazette Times website).

If you're throwing a righty, then LSUs lineup will have three lefties in it.

we will mix in a couple of lefties, and our pitcher will probably shut down your guys. Should be a good one but I predict an LSU victory

Simply mindboggling to me that LSU struggles against power Righty's considering their history.PM seems to favor smaller Righty's over big Lefty's,for whatever reason.
