I'm just replying off the top of my head, but
Forrest Griffin Vs Stephan Bonnar - those two just slugged it the frick out. Much respect to both after seeing that.

Duran vs. Leonard in the Brawl in Montreal. That fight was the highest quality fight I've ever seen and Duran was absolutely pitch-perfect that night. Leonard also earned a lot of respect that night standing toe-to-toe with Duran for 15 rounds and more than holding his own. Just a magnificent fight.

Can't believe I'm the first to mention Gatti / Ward.

I don't know if I can name a favorite but I don't think I've seen two guys go harder than these two did:

Tyson/Douglas
I remember watching it live on HBO. It was surreal at the moment because Tyson was thought to be so invincible at that time.

My personal #1 without a doubt is Big John Tate vs Mike Weaver in 1980.
One of the most astonishing endings ever to a heavyweight title fight, this came towards the end of the era of 15 rounders.
Tate towered over Weaver physically and dominated him for 14 rounds.
If he could have managed to stay conscious for the fifteenth round, he would have won easily. This was not to be, however.
Weaver came out as the bell sounded and clearly understood the nature of his task.
He came after Tate with everything he had, and caught him with a punch that had Tate unconscious at the moment of impact. Tate dropped to the canvas, face first, like the proverbial felled oak in a jaw dropping, highly improbable climax.

However I will take Sugar Ray vs. Hearns #1 in 1982. A great fight.
