I like how people forget this and that The Decision raised millions (millions!) for several children's charities.

The biggest thing people forget is that it's just a game.

All sports are taken way too seriously by most fans.

Yea, I'm quoting myself here LOL.

5 hours after first seeing this post and commenting, I finally finished watching the 12 minute clip. That's what happens when you have 11 month old twin boys running shite in your house.

Solid speech there. And it just echos the part i quoted about how this is just a game. All the hate and this and that is so laughable over a game.

Not just Lebron, just sports in general. There's obviously a reason they're called fans, aka fanatics. If you just stop and think about half the stuff people say in regards to any sports, it's the most illogical and irrational stuff you'll ever hear considering the context.

Ok, i probably just pulled a Lebron and talked the MSB to sleep.

I'm done, carry on.

Why? 1) Rose made a huge jump during that off-season. No one knew he would make that kind of jump. 2) They also signed CJ Watson, Korver, Brewer, and Boozer during that offseason. They drafted Asik last season. And Gibson the year before that.

Basically there was no way to know that team would make that leap. And that team wouldn't be the same if LeBron had signed there.

Also, Thibs had not even coached a game yet. We had no idea that Chicago would have a wizard on the sidelines at the time of the Decision.

Lebron's only real mistake was the way he (and his entourage and the media) handled the Decision. It may be enough to possibly think that the guy a prick, which hell, he should be based all of the hype around him. However, it is not that big of a deal. Get over it.

IMO, Lebron should have been a little forceful towards the management in getting some help. He should have they need to acquire Amare (or some other all-NBA player) to help him win a title because no one can do it alone.

Isn't that part of the reason why people hate Howard now?

Yeah, but people are stupid.

Jordan needed help. Magic needed help. Kobe needed help.

Whether you get it through good fortune of being on a good team or you have to demand it from the front office should make no difference.

Somebody reads Bill Simmons too much.

If he went to New York people would hate him even more because it would appear all he cared about was his "Brand"

Crazy how you could be humbled by your 3rd MVP. Trophy

Well maybe he was humble before but I didn't watch his interviews or something. Or if that speech truly was an abnormal type of behavior from him, maybe he saw the few other names with 3 MVPs or more and actually was humbled.
