Yeah, that's my plan too..finishing normal solo.
Love the achievement system. I thought I did a thorough job in act 1, but looking at my achievement list, I missed a lot.
Think I got to lvl 16 and finished act 1 in one night, hah. cant believe they made the butcher an act boss
anyone who has played Diablo 1 probably still remembers "fresh meat!" being heard...what a classic
Died a few times...hardcore is going to be a bitch..might be a while before I delve into that

Speaking of achievements. I have the blacksmith (obviously) and early on in Act 1 normal I got an achievement for making an item or leveling him up (can't remember). But when I look at my achievement list, the very first blacksmith achievement (obtain the blacksmith) isn't achieved. How can I have the blacksmith following me, have leveled him up, made items, but not obtained him? This is an obvious achievement mishap by Blozzard and was wondering if anyone else has the same issue. I have the "obtain the jeweler" achievement just fine.

Is there any advantage to using a 2h daibo for the monk or is the fist weapons the best way of doing things?

2H weps don't give that much of bonus damage. To be honest I'm not sure why people use 2H.

I forgot followers don't follow new characters, just Acts. (You don't have to do the blacksmith/jeweler quests after normal) So that's an easy fix. I'll just make a new character and obtain the blacksmith again, hopefully it'll give me the achievement this time.

I'm a fist weapons guy for tankig. Apparently 2h monks are ideal for dps builds.
Also wave of light is pretty sick.

My monk friends have been using either polearms or a 1h with a shield lvl60 depending on how hard the mobs thy are fighting hit.

Just finished ACT III, im a lvl 30 barb. Which class benefits from intelligence. If anyone is around a ~27 i have a studly rare two socketed chest plate you can have/buy.

That doesn't look like the kind of gear a monk would use.
I'm starting to worry that in tougher difficulties I'll have to ditch the knuckles for a shield and weapon. And then sheath them to attack.

I just learned this.. thought I'd share:
Go into Options > Gameplay and turn on Elective Mode.
This will allow you to put skills from the same branch onto any skill slot. After you enable, open up your Skills then use the left and right arrows to change.
This helps if you want to use, say, 2 force skills or 2 defensive skills.
