Nebraska assistant football coach really really really does not like gay people

Really really really.
quote:I'm guessing that he watched gay porn one time and sorta liked it, and he wants to really really really make sure none of us ever find out about it.
Brown said he isn't "picking on" homosexuals. He said a gay agenda has cropped up in American culture and that he is merely responding to it.
He said gays and lesbians do not deserve the same protections as groups that historically have been discriminated against, such as blacks and women.
"The scriptures teach that blacks were created by God, that women were created by God, but that homosexuals ... that is not what God had in mind at all," Brown said.
Brown said his words should not be interpreted as an attack on homosexuals.
"I have simply said that based on the Bible, homosexuality, the lifestyle of homosexuality, is a sin," he said.

I don't agree w/ what he's saying, but it is his right to say it. Although he sounds like a complete dumbass.

I see he is from the Tim Hardaway school of public relations

It is not his right to say it and not get fired.

If Ron Brown was white would he have already been fired for his comments ?

Completely agree with him, I don't care what sex you perfer but I don't need to know, and society doesn't owe you any special consideration for it. It's BS.

it's a legit point. i'm not saying you have to agree with it, but it's a point
i know plenty of black guys who would be fricking pissed if gays were treated the same as them

Kinda like I don't care what religion you are and don't need to know, and society doesn't owe you any special consideration for it.
This coach publicly said something homophobic, and he'll probably be canned for it. Just like if a coach had sex with a man in public, he'd be canned for it, too.
In the spirit of equality, this coach should be fired, brother.

is it really homophobic? he's saying his religion doesn't like gays, which is true.

No way should he be fired imo. What did he say that is so offensive?

If I knew he was my position coach and I had multiple offers, this could affect where I went.
Thats why I think its ok to fire him.

If the Bible said that blacks count for 3/5, that's still racist.
Being in the Bible doesn't make something not homophobic, does it?

it could theoretically do this, but as long as he's recruiting inner city black kids i don't think it will affect recruiting
the urban black culture does not exactly support gays rights
