Try Council Bluffs area. It's not too far from the stadium.

Worst case scenario....bring a tent and stay at the park out there. Some friends and I did that in 2009.

Figures that drunk would stay at a hotel with free open bar every night

Hey now Brags!

I don't drink at the hotel. I walk to Upstream.

the camping thing is intriguing. If it wasn't so hot.

It wasn't too bad in 2009. Worry about how hot it gets at the stadium during the day....the nights are tolerable.

Only problem was that the storm that came in before the second game with Texas that year got our sleeping gear all wet. Campground had decent showers luckily.

If you have a travel trailer and a comfortable truck or SUV, you'd be set.

We stayed at the holiday inn across from the new stadium location in 09. They hadn't built the new park yet so it wasn't bad(maybe $150-200/night). Its a good set up with a pizzeria/bar downstairs called Union Pizzeria, I think. If you bring little kids they have an indoor slide and splash pad. Very clean. If I ever go back I'll stay there. Try that one...you would be able to walk to the game.

Without even looking, I would guess that this one is either completely booked, or $500 a night....

I have a room at the Westin Element booked long ago. Prepaid, will sell it to a Tiger fan for $150/night.

I stayed at the Value Place in Bellevue last year. It's like $200 for a week. Gives you the necessities. Decent TV, shower is fine, room is clean and felt safe. Walking distance to a movie theater for any off days. They also have a shuttle bus from Bellevue to the stadium (bus picks you up about 5 miles from the hotel). Apparently they still have at least one room available actually in Omaha. I'd stay again if/when UVA goes back. Make sure you have a car though, if you want to stay out in Omaha after the game and go to bars and whatnot, it'll be a $30 cab ride or so.

I stayed in Iowa once and in Omaha once. I don't remember the name of the Omaha one but it wasn't as nice as the one in Council Bluffs. I want to say it was a Motel 6 but it has been awhile. Fine for what we needed which was just clean beds.

I'm up in Omaha already for an internship. I would definitely look into something across the river in Council Bluffs or maybe even further east in Iowa.

This town is going to be a clusterfrick this month because Phelps and co. are going to be swimming in the trials literally the week after (there's actually an overlap).

If you need any specific questions answered, I might be able to help you. I have a decent idea of the lay of the land by now.

Many people don't realize it yet, but the Olympic swim trials are in Omaha at the old Qwest Center the same time as the CWS. They have moved the CWS up a day and it will now start on Friday 6/15. Downtown is gonna be so crowded.

Correct.

Super 8 Carter Lake, Iowa. Right next to the airport and 5 minutes from amertrade park. I'm here now, $89 a night. Have a few rooms left that we're booked by fans of teams that didn't make it to the supers. Not a bad hotel at all.
