Baseball is great because its a team sport but its largely a one on one battle. Also you get to watch every single piece of action relevant during the game. You miss a lot of action "away from the ball" in football and basketball. Also the leisure of a baseball game allows for it to be much more of a social event. Going to the ballpark is just fun.

i do think he was considering NFL and College as the same thing... a quarter of the NFL plays in Southern states bc i count the Texans, the Florida teams, and the Panthers

well that does change it up a bit. but the NFL is huge in places like New York, Philly, Pittsburgh, Mid-Atlantic region, New England, and Chicago. Ohio has two teams.

I don't think that's a very good representation of the demographic he was referring to.

I have never once heard anyone mention baseball and white trash in the same sentence. In a normal circumstance, I would reply back with just how stupid your post is, but I am so genuinely impressed at the creative thinking that made you link baseball and white trash that I will let it slide.

Baseball is fun if your favorite team is playing.

What are you arguing with? I was talking about the NFL north vs. south.

The bigger the ball, the trashier the sport, thus:

1) Basketball
2) Bowling
3) Football
4) Baseball
5) Tennis
6) Golf
... Ping Pong?!?!

What a fricking retard. Baseball is firmly the number two sport behind football in the US, and its probably the second most popular world wide only to soccer. That many people surely can't all be white trash??

To our shite-for-brains OP, You Could Use Some Baseball.

There is no worse sport in person than your average early or mid-season NBA game. They usually have the excitement of a trip to the dentist with god-awful music blared on the PA during time outs. There is one, maybe two, guys on each team trying to get their numbers. The rest might as well have, "When can we get out of here and to the skrip club?" posted on their foreheads.

well there is cricket, which we don't care about

but in terms of american sports, you're underestimating how popular basketball is. it's big across europe and is getting big in south american and asia. don't see how baseball has overtaken basketball

Wait, hold on. A white trash sport? Maybe on the south side of Chicago, but not everywhere

That's funny because I was thinking the exact same thing. I've been to several games at Comiskey Park (US Cellular Field). Each time, I felt like I died and woke up in White Trash Heaven. I witness several fights each game and the really sad part? The fights are amongst White Trash, I mean, White Sox fans. They don't even care about opposing fans.
