It would be awesome if he played in Bham, I would surely make it to his games.

Tigerfan in Bamaland....let me know if he does start with the Barrons. I recently just relocated from Baton Rouge to Birmingham. It'd be nice to see him play with other LSU fans.

Will do. You need to plan to make it to the SEC tourney at Regions Park. I have been every year, except last, and it is an awesome experience.

The Barons just announced their opening day roster, and it includes Mitchell.

LINK

He is considered the 16th best prospect in their organization.

I don't know what you are looking at. He is the 4th best on MLB prospects and top ten in all major prospects list.

Went see him last night with his family, it was great to see him out there...had quite a few lsu fans last night cheering for him as well. He took Rios' place in RF last night and was suppose to start or play most of the 1 o'clock game. Starting in AA this year, hoping to have a great year and move up to AAA by next year then the majors by 25 is his track. Good luck to him and his family, great kid always acknowledge the lsu fans last night was a perfect example, taking pics and signing balls for the fans before the game

Is he 100% recovered from the severe ankle/foot injury he suffered? Was that 2010 or 2011? Didn't he miss an entire season? Best of luck to him, seems like a great guy.

Yeah he's feeling pretty healthy, he did miss the entire season with it so last year was his first full minor league deal. He's headed to the same team that Michael Jordan played on while he was in the minors.
