Also, Chevy thrives in an impromptu situation but this show does not allow much of that as the script seems pretty tightly written.

He walked off the set because they routinely do non scripted episodes which are entirely improv, and the last episode finally broke the camels back with its lack of a script.

If anything, his career has relied upon hilarious writing by funny people and when left to his own devices, he is a flop. Theres no problem with that, no one is saying dicaprio has to write his own dramas. but lets not sit around and say that chevy is this great imrpov guy when he quits the show for lack of scripts.

Sidenote: youtube the deleted scenes from the show where the cast will do take after take and riff off the same joke. the batman halloween one comes to mind...

most sitcoms tend to go that route with their characters to where they find the things people like about characters and then they basically just become caricatures of what they were.

I've thought about this. An awesome way to approach this would be to parody it on the show.

My thoughts. As part of a business class, pierce is forced to get a job. Subway possibly.

The whole show is built around some zany inter college subway sandwich making competition.

Pierce shows he is a natural talent but quite lazy.

His boss (played by none other than bill Murray) scolds him.

Pierce claims that Murray isn't providing the team with proper sandwich ingredients. At the competition pierce walks out in the semifinals and greendale loses but the other college is disqualified due to the judges becoming sick. The team is upset and feels they will lose to city college in the finals. Pierce returns to save the day. Green dale subway wins but Murray publicly berates pierce. Pierce says he can't do that in front of his friends. He throws a sandwich at Murray. Someone yells food fight. Scene cuts to a judge who happens to be Jim belushi. He says some one liner and the show ends.

Fill the episode with other pointless storylines about Britta being angry about meat being used in the competition.

Also harmon could make a cameo as a judge.

Heck Harmon could also play the subway boss.

I just like Murray in that role since they have history. I keep picturing Murray saying "medium sandwich talent" to Chevy.

The way they've abused Jim Belushi probably means this isn't a possibility. They just had a joke about him in the last episode, which was a bit of a callback to a first season episode where Jeff and Prof Slater went back and forth using Jim Belushi as an insult.

It would just be another callback to Jim. He wouldn't be Jim on the show just some random guy. "John doe". He votes against the greendale team. Jeff says "geez, that guys a real Jim belushi.

There are just so many tropes I would want to add to this show.

I'd like to do a west wing episode.
A traditional 3 wall sitcom

An episode where all they do is sit at a table and discuss other tv shows.

They've done so far:
Clip show
bottle episode
character gives birth
wedding
musical

I'm blanking, I know there are more

These were more of tributes than plays on the old generic sitcom tricks. On those lines, they've done tributes to the following movies/genres:
Goodfellas
Star Wars
Spaghetti Westerns
Zombie films
Hearts of Darkness
My Dinner With Andre

And the claymation Christmas was a tribute to the old melancholy Christmas specials that used to play a lot, like the Peanuts one.

what about the 5 or 6 different possible ending things with the role of the dice or something like that. Forget exactly how it happened in the episode but think it was when Troy and Abed moved in to their new place.

Chevy's been fighting with the cast since day one.

Chevy Chase is notorious for being an enormous a-hole. That's one of the big reasons why his film career completely stagnated after the "Vacation" movies were done.

That's good shite. I've been watching the outtakes from the first two seasons, and it's pretty funny. Season 2 seemed to get WAY more vulgar and sexual during the outtakes.

Fans of Allison Brie might wanna check out this one: LINK Around 3:30 specifically.
