I know I'm in the minority but I tried to watch it once and got so tired of it. I ended up turning it off.

It did nothing for me. I didn't find it funny at all.

Pete's reaction to the "We thought you was a toad" line in the theater is priceless.

I use the phrase "I don't mean to be tellin' tales outta school, but..."

The writing for it could not have been better. Such a great southern satire.

Reading Homer's Odyssey will make you like O Brother even more, the movie is loosely based on the story. The livestock quote reminded me of it, in the Odyssey the crew slaughters Apollo's cattle and they get in trouble. Just one example, there are several.

Nice, I love modern adaptations of old stories. There's a good movie called Scotland, PA that is set in the disco era but it's based on Macbeth. Thought about starting a thread on it but I'm a Movie Board noob.

Definitely one of my favorites.

When they pickup the black guy that sold his soul to the devil was pretty funny.

"Sell my soul to the devil."

"Ain't it a small world, spiritually speakin'?

Pete and Delmar just been saved. I'm the only one still unaffiliated."

There are so many good lines.

I'll be... 84 years old.

I guess they'll tack on 50 years for me, too.

Boys, we was chained together. I had to tell you something.

Busting out alone was not an option. I'm sorry.

84 years old.

Well, I'll only be 82.
