HBO rarely ever has to cancel a show. I watched the first episode and didnt like it, pretty boring and way too dramatic.

agree. i thought they were doing a good job developing the characters and plot line(s). I can understand the critics on this board though. It wasn't as gripping as Sopranos or Dexter.

Too bad about Luck getting cancelled. I love watching horse racing, and the plot was just starting to turn this into a really good series. But what did the series creators think would happen? Thoroughbreds have more muscle mass and less bone density due to their selective breeding. This makes them faster, but more fragile. More Thoroughbreds become seriously injured while racing than any other animal/human in any other sport, resulting in euthanasia.

Depends on the breeding you are looking at. I see plenty of old school stout tb's on a daily basis.
However, they are usually grass bred.
Also, not much you can do about a horse that goes up and over like the latest death. That one is not their fault.

Anyone ever read that Cracked article that talks about this guy who caused the deaths of hundreds of horses in two movies during the 20's and 30's? Pretty unbelievable stuff.
