Spear hunting goes wrong

Lynn Thompson is the guy from Cold Steel. He's a fat arse, but that guy can use a knife like nobody's business. If you've seen his videos, you know what I mean.
Anyway, he was spear hunting water buffalo, and it went wrong. Good thing he had a .454 Casull backup. Hahah.

That looked like it had a common element I see in a lot of celebrity hunts... lack of patience. He's traveled to Africa, he's stalked a bull buffalo for what he thinks is a long time... he's thinking he won't go home with a kill... so he tries to go over the horns rather than trying to be patient for the broadside target.

WTF, that is why real spear chuckers were skinny nimble mfers. It did hit the damn spear with its horn. Must be gentic learned behavior like deer squating when they hear an arrow shot.

I cant imagine the buffalo not charging him even if he had hit him with the spear. It definatly stuck in its horn. That seemed like a real young buffalo also. Horns weren't really as developed as I've seen before. Watching the slow mo replay at the end it sounds like he fired a shot while trying to get the gun out of his holster. Maybe the video is synced up with the audio just right though. Stupid arse needed to get run over
