Someone I work with has a son, 6'6", 285lbs., junior DT at Friendship Collegiate in DC. He loves LSU, but hasn't been approached. Lots of other schools are trying, but I know he would play for CLM in a heartbeat. He has a cousin in the NFL, is a beast, but had limited playing time this past season due to injury. Anybody have advice on who to contact? I don't want to stumble into any recruiting violations.
If you look at the big picture, this game was our chance to make a statement, in case Bama drops a couple of games this year. Our near shut-out of a PAC-12 team will be the only thing that keeps us ahead of USC or Oregon in the event that the rest of the SEC doesn't live up to expectations, weakening our SoS.
This. The way the OP tells it, there was no offer of a refund of the deposit, and it's mentioned that the check was cashed, all indicating his belief that getting the deposit back was not an option. Which, if true, is BS. The purpose of the deposit is to guarantee the guide that his time will be covered that day, if the client flakes out. They no longer have an appointment set, so the deposit is no longer needed.
Any method that might cause by-kill is not a great option. Pick one night, bait the area well and stay up late. Maybe take a sick day. Bust them up good, chances are it's one group doing the raids and you can wipe them out. Leaving death out for whatever may come is risky business.
I agree completely with this. As a member of the hospitality industry, I was preparing to launch a campaign to encourage all of my colleagues to call in sick Superbowl weekend, to ruin the NFL's party in the Saints' town, as a symbol of protest from the Saints' fanbase. Thankfully, the move to bring Parcells in for 2012 has helped me realize that the Saints are too smart to let Dumbell kneecap our season, no need to ruin the party, we will be celebrating another ring!
Actually I know some people that are writers for that show, and they are huge LSU fans. So it's really not that much of a stretch...
Let her get the crappy one, and get the good one but don't let her know about it. When the bad one craps out while y'all are on the boat, just calmly pull the good one out, give it to her and keep on fishing. It might cost a little more $, but it is worth it.

Or pictures of Tyrann Mathieu. I've heard that the Ducks are afraid of him.
If you can run power up there, you can plug in a sonic repellent, which emits a frequency you can't hear but is unpleasant for them. I also had a neighbor that put a radio and a strobe light in his attic, the noise and light seemed to make it uncomfortable for them up there.

Unless they get into your xtc stash, then you might end up with a tree rat rave.

Also, if you see any squirrel nests in your trees, climb up and knock them out, or shoot them with the pellet gun at night.

The first pop you hear in super slo-mo is the sound of the spear snapping out of the horn, listen to how much louder the gunshots are when they start
The OP has implied that this coaching decision might have a negative impact on recruiting. I think it is safe to say that this coaching staff has got recruiting well under control, so please don't worry anymore about that.
To explain the starter vs. backup roles to you, JJ was the starter. He coudn't play, so the back up played, and played well. It was then his job to lose. He then lost it in a crucial game, and the original starter came in and won his job back. So, in any game the rest of the year, if the outcome is still in question, what coach worth his paycheck would do anything less than play the player that gives us the best chance to win?
For example, perhaps JLee goes in vs Arkansas (for a meaningful snap) when we are up by 14 and throws a pick 6. Who wants to give the other team a chance to stay in the game?
100%. I have found that Les is a bit of a poet with the play calling. Jefferson's jump pass against FL, throwing the fade to the end zone 2 times against FL last year (a classic Spurrier move). There are many examples, the dude has a sense of humor.
This was a chance to test each qb's game outside of their respective strengths. Scrimmage play calling all the way, I would even guess that Les was trying to communicate to you rantards by having Lee run the option, to make it clear that it was "just practice". No disrespect to WKU, but that game was never in question, so why not take an opportunity to work on things for the games that will be in question? The defense struggled in the 1st half due to repeated 3 n outs from our experiments.
At this point I would say it is a good thing we are playing Bama in Tuscaloosa. After watching how they kicked the Gators up and down the field last night, our players are going to need focus 100% on their game to handle that team. Having to listen to their own fans boo them, and try to interpret "what is the purpose of that boo?" "is it at me, or another player, or a coach, or a decision?" can only be a distraction. Having been to many road games, the dumbasses that boo are not the majority for the road games. At least in Bama they can focus on doing their jobs.

Just add $1 to every ticket price for every sporting event at every university. Take all those $1 at each event and divide the pot equally among all active athletes (from both teams) for said event. For and LSU/Auburn game, for example, sold out, would mean $92,400, divided among 170 players (85 per team), equaling $543.53 per player that day.
It would not create any more bias towards a school or sport that doesn't already exist, but may encourage teams/fan bases of smaller schools or lower profile sports to compete harder for more attendance at thier events.
I mix sweet chili sauce with orange marmalade, for a similar effect
If the NFL locks out this year, I suppose I will file a claim to compensate for the lack of use of my tailgating tents, coolers, cookers, flasks, seat cushions, and my 60"HD tv that will sit dark on Sundays...
