Everybody I have talked to, to a man does not understand why Miles is so out of touch with reality. Here's a perfect example:
Does Miles really think that holding Bama to zero punt return yards, or zero 3rd down conversions would have helped the LSU offense score? I mean seriously? He still doesn't get the fact that you have to score MORE points than the opponent to win, not just hold them to less points than you have.
At some point you have to score to win

That being said, I really think in all phases for the first time that I can remember, our special teams gave up a long punt return. Certainly in that game, it needed not to happen. I think our defense gave up a lot of third down conversions which they were tremendous in the red zone and tight zone. They were tremendous on the course of the day, but certainly they could play better on those third down conversions.

I thought the OP was talking about a letter and how classy LM is? Aren't there enough threads about LM's decisions on 1/9/12? Maybe there is a thread or two about the recruiting class?

Its not out there. Youve deluded yourself into thinking Miles realizes its his fault. Heres who Miles blames it on
"We felt like we were prepared but obviously we were not"
"I told my team I did not see it coming and that's my fault"
Oh, and GFY. Why are we STILL even discussing this almost a month after the fact? Get over it. Move on. The future is bright at LSU.

Really? Then why did you cut off Miles' quote before you got to this part?
quote:
"I told my team I did not see it coming. And that's my fault. I wish I could have done something to help them.
We were waiting for that next play to hit to give us a ten-yard gain and a first down, and here we go. And that never really happened.
But I have to think that that staff, players, certainly coaches, busted their behind to prepare.”
He still believes he was right. He blames the players (everyone but JJ, of course) What is it you dont get about that?

Mark this down as another positive thread ruined by whining idiots that can't get over a football game that was played 3 weeks ago.

It is truly amazing. Yet somehow, someway those who complain, whine, gripe about anything have gravitas with most of this forum and are viewed as "realist" while anyone else while certainly disappointed at 1/9 and some of the decisions are lambasted as "sunshine pumpers" and "settling" when we reflect and enjoy a 13-1 season and Southeastern Conference championship.

Thanks for your post. Look forward to reading the letter. Sorry for all the pricks on here who dont appreciate kind words. Miles is all class. Wish we could say the same for all the fans.

well....last time i was called a "sunshine pumper" and mocked for supporting Miles we went 25-3 over the next 2 seasons with another SEC championship. So if they want to make themselves look like idiots once again...fine by me. i rather enjoyed it last time.

Are you going to just ignore the other quote where he said they weren't prepared?

BamaScoop is the Krystal Burger Teabagger. He is making nice because he knows New Orleans is after him.

It is obvious you are a troll and offer nothing to the board, LSU, and likely to the world itself.
You should seek help in order to find some glimmer of hope. Perhaps with some rehabilitation you will become productive in some small way and maybe, just maybe, that can bring you some tiny amount of joy.
Or you could just save yourself the effort and all of us the time and just set yourself on fire.

BamaScoop, thank you for your post. It's something refreshing and is a wonderful anecdote we would never have known of otherwise.
That was quite nice of you!
