Absent a victory, you would never please many in our fan base. However, not even trying to spark something on offense made things worse imo.

I frankly agree that Lee's insertion would probably not have worked, but never knowing I think is worse. I would have inserted Lee in the second and if that didn't work I would have inserted Mett in the 3rd. But hey, I wanted to win

This I agree with.

To answer your question, YES.

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing, over and over and expect a different outcome.

That is what I think most fans are upset about.

This is sensible. If what you are doing isn't working, you absolutely have to try something else. There is no "next week." If JJ were a spectacular QB, I could see the sense in sticking with him. But this wasn't the case.

If Les had thrown the whole kitchen sink in there, people would be more understanding.

After JJ’s underhand interception, the defense if I remember correctly held Bama to a missed/blocked filed goal and the LSU crowd in the dome actually had some life. For a second it looked like JL was coming in and the crowd started to get louder as they were getting ready to come out of the timeout. The instant JL turned to the sideline and JJ came back out, the Dome went flat again. FACT. I really think all the team needed was some sort of park. It’s what they did the whole end of the season, looking flat and one thing turns then they play lights out. Maybe getting the crowd into it would have gotten the line back into it. Who knows

This makes as much sense as people giving Tebow credit for the games his defense played great and they won. This idea that Lee would have magically made the o-line not let Bama defenders come through free is ridiculous. Lee might not have been sacked as much as JJ, but only because he gets rid of the ball even if guys have 3 defenders around them. That leads to picks against good defenses, just like the last Bama game he played in.

I think it's time to end all the what if threads and move on to next year. You can beat a dead horse and it will still be dead. Let it go and start looking forward to 2012 and hope we have as great of season as we had last year. Hopefully we can finish strong and be in Miami next Jan. with better results.

Mett was going in but Les changed his mind at the start of the second half.

I think if he would have at least given Lee a shot in the last half of the 4th quarter it would be safe to say that the vast majority of the fan base would be behind Miles and would be saying that he at least tried to win instead of quitting.

It's retarded stuff like this that made me post the "we need to stop beating a dead horse" a few minutes ago.

When everyone starts to calm down, someone will start a thread like this and stir up everyone again and morons will come out and say goofy crap like this.

Stop it.

Lol. Even if LSU had won, people would have complained that Lee didn't play. The fact that people are making a bigger deal about the qb's than they are about the coaching, strategy, play calling, and game plan proves this. Tom Brady couldn't have made those plays work.

Like these threads. It's over. We lost. Let it go for the love of God.

At least they wouldn't have that to complain about. would just be something else. Like the root of the problem being Miles felt the JJ game plan/package was successful in the first game, and like a percentage of the board, that without JL in the first game LSU would have scored more. He missed the fact that saban saw that too. Satan made a new Offensive and Defensive game plan, Miles stuck with what would work against why Bama did in the first game. No way that could have succeeded. He knows it, but what can he say beside, "We thought JJ gave us the best chance. I thought wevwerevready but clearly we weren't." Case closed.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This is worse than a shuffle pass to an opposing linebacker???

After JJ was sent back in after 2 quarters of dismal play, I gave up on seeing Lee.

Personally, I think JJ plays best when he is trying to fight for the starting job. Putting Lee in would have given JJ something to play for. We will never know and this is beaten to death. The fact that we will never know is exactly why this will continue to be beaten to death for the rest of the year, even if we win in 2013.

"Could have been two in a row if Les had played JL in 2012" if we win it all next year.

After a few series when it was obvious that jefferson was not going to get it done, had he inserted Lee and at least tried to get back to our passing game we had at the start of the season, and still lost, but at least went down swinging, would it be safe to say that the fan base would be behind Miles and would be saying that he at least tried to win instead of quitting.

Its not retarded when its actually the truth. Lee was not going in. Les saw in the 1st Alabama game that Lee would not be able to pass the ball against their D. JJ was having no luck either. I know it seems like this stuff is being made up but its the truth. LSU had also practiced about 70 new plays for this game and not 1 was ran. Why do you think RR left.

It wasn't a knock at you.

All this "reliving" the game and the what ifs, coulda, woulda, shoulda stuff is psychotic. We lost. You can yell and scream about the game until you pass out but in the end, it changes nothing about what happened.

Right when people start to get over the game, chill, move on, get back to being Tiger fans, somebody has to start a thread like this and it stirs up the hornets nest of fans that were starting to get past the game.

This board is crazy to begin with but reliving the what ifs and all this stuff is ridiculous.

Move on already.
