re: Gordy Rush categorically denies the rumors

We played a certain way for 13 games and then all of a sudden in game 14 we looked like a completely different team.
The defense played great for what they were given. We saw how inefficient the offense can be during the first half of Georgia. Georgia just doesn't have the players to sustain that type of defensive pressure. Bama did.

So we just sucked that bad?

No, I agree. But, I was more referring to the energy in which we took the field. Just didn't seem like it was there. You'd think it would be with them playing in the NC in front of a Louisiana crowd even though the crowd split was closer to 60/40 - 50/50

Its nice that Gordy categorically denies the rumors but what does it really mean. Was he really with the team from 3Pm and the last to leave at night? Really? We know that how? Whether we believe him or not changes nothing. The team played extremely poorly and with no enthusiasm, that much we can agree on. Coupled with the lack of vision in the game plan and the seemingly unwillingness to adapt to the game leaves alot to interpretation.
Gordy does seem to ignore the tweets by RS and the mass exodus from the WR corps, coach and all. There are some things that are unexplained and won't be by the usual just trust me BS. RS hinted at larger things and Bobby Hebert has suggested there is more to this story on national radio tour. If Gordy wants to continue pushing this line of shill go right ahead its his reputation.

It was pretty much settled with me already so this is just extra frosting on the icing on the cake.

I tend to agree.
I saw Gordy on Sunday night at the Hilton and he wasn't near the team then. Not that there were any problems at that time.
Still perplexing with the exodus of players and the comments in the paper by so many Tigers after the game. THAT's not a rumor.
And not that you can believe Finebaum, but I heard him on his show say he accidentally ended up in LSU's lockerrom after the game and was shocked and surprised at what he heard from the players. He also said he would not share it since he walked in without an invite.
FWIW.
Still, there's too much that doesn't add up.

Gordy would have nothing to gain and everything to lose by confirming something like this, or even hinting at it for that matter. He'd never be allowed around the team or in the locker room again. I certainly understand it - he's an alum and wants to protect the program any way he can. But it's going to take more than just an "I was there and nothing happened" to convince many folks.

So what is the explanation for the argument on the sidelines in the second half, the no discussion of halftime adjustments at halftime and not implementing the game plan that was prepared for this game?

This is impossible for rantards. My new SEC dislike list in no certain order: Bobby Petrino, the Auburn Tigers Plainsmen War Eagles on game day and negaTigers - AkA rantards. I particularly loathe the latter.

So we just sucked? Miles just coached his worst game of his coaching career in the most important game of his career?

Since he was there the whole time, it pretty much does. Unless you want to believe he's "in" on some kind of conspiracy.
Please, let's keep the fringe Ron Paul supporters off the Tiger Rant!

If there was no drama, it seems to me that this team did not want to play Bama again. Blackwell said it straight up That he didn't think Bama earned their spot in the NC. I agree with him and I wouldn't want to have to beat a team again when we already won the first game.
What do you think would happen if we played a third game next week? I bet our team would be on fire and Bama would say "WTF, we have to beat them again?"
This is the bullshite we got in the mulligan bowl.

I suppose that means, no excuses, that was the best the team could do with Miles and JJ.
Alabama was just awesome and treated us bad.

No drama, no bullshite, just taken behind the woodshed? Kinda wish something had went down
I think that is a reason the stories began. No one wants to believe we just got flat beat.

I saw Gordy at party Monday afternoon. Not sure what time he left but I didn't get there until after 1 and thought it was latter when I saw him

It was going around New Orleans Sunday night before the game some players did simply say to Miles "we can't win unless Lee plays". What happened after that, no clue.

In other words, we got our asses kicked straight up. No drama, no bullshite, just taken behind the woodshed? Kinda wish something had went down. That was a terrible effort by our offense and coaching staff. The "D" kept us in it for as long as they could.
this. so if this holds, then we were just terrible for no other reasons than a shitty qb/gameplan... that's fricking depressing.
