so what you are saying is that a coach should let his players decide who plays and such. Wouldn't that in and of itself be losing control of the team.
Players that are leaders can surely make suggestions but they understand the coach has final say and they promptly put there gear on and go to work.
Really, did I say that! Did I miss a hidden meaning somewhere? What I mean is that players have approached Miles before and repeatedly, that is not suggesting a fly by night mentality. Players that are leaders should not be expected to continue to have their fellow players come to them and then be ignored by coaches or anyone else. That in itself makes a sham of the leadership process and council.
Point is Miles had plenty of warning that the team was fracturing over the QB and offense. He choose poorly!

I agree 100%

Nope.
But it's worse for him to take it out on JLee for what the other players did. By doing so, he actually hurt everybody on the team because of the actions of a very few. That's horrible coaching and supports the exodus taking place.

If this rift did exist, it probably did so because of the way Miles handled it when approached by the players. Handling it badly can cause you to lose your team.

If RR was pissed that his numbers were down, why not stay? With a passing QB waiting in the wings, his numbers could vastly improve next season, thus raising his draft stock for 2013.
Frustration? Maybe he just lost faith.

My wife was the smartest person in the house -- in the first quarter she left the room and quit watching the game.
I asked her during the third quarter why she wasn't watching the game -- "there's no point, we cannot win, this is not the team I have seen all year"

Lc are you serious? JL in the dog house for good reason. Your coach must like the QB who broke curfew and got into a bar fight over a QB who won 8 games in convincing fashion.

JLee either was ineligible or else did some repugnant shite to not see the field Monday.

LSU has a unity council where they discuss team issues, so maybe that's where this discussion took place. Is Shep on the council? If not, he may have approached Miles on his own, but backed by the council.
If the council was all on board for more JL playing time and Miles told them to stick then they had plenty of time to get over it, but if Miles lied to them saying JL would play and the players realize at half it ain't happening, then Miles just lost his team for lying directly to them. Team and Miles quit in the fourth...players pissed after the game. Hmmmmm.

What is it u think j lee did? Give me something bro. The kid never got arrested, graduated before the bcs NC game, never said one wrong word in the press, was engaged on the sidelines every game and was always supportive of his teammates. He was never ineligible or even close to it. What is it you think he did?

Bama was likely the only team that we couldn't push around, and when the run game fell apart we had nowhere to go.
When was that, because our running backs barely touched the ball in the 1st 3 quarters? Its hard to have something fall apart when it never got started in the first place.

Sorry but not true Canuck. I know that would make it easier to continue to adore miles, but the truth is clm is arrogant and stubborn like most D1 coaches. End of story.

Yea LC, Lee has said all the right things even after the game. He sure is a hell of alot better fellow than I would have been.

Why would no one discuss this after the game?
Posted on 1/12/12 at 7:39 pm to Rudy40
have not heard of this before Rudy, Tolliver questioned Les last year on JJ not having to earn his position? If so WOW. as verne lundquist would say.

So you are suggesting that 9 of the wins started by JL mean nothing to support the last four? Ignoring a problem doesn't solve it.
So your answer is 13-0 and it means Miles should ignore anything that anyone else has to say. Regardless of the outcome. Heres an analogy to help understand. You know a race car driver that reaches the top speed on the track only to ignore the wall flying up in his face doesn't accomplish much beyond crashing spectacularly.
13-0 also means Miles ignored a big part of what built that record.

Then why keep just one in there? The bottom line is RS approached Miles over a week ago and wanted a change. His #s were way way down since JJ was back. The entire OL agreeed. Miles decided against the change and words were exchanged. Stud got into it with Miles closer to the game. Big deal happened between players before game and at half there was pushing but no punches over the topic. Miles was "blackmailed" by a group of players. THats why it looks/seems/smells so awkward that Miles wouldn't make the move. He has lost much control over the locker room from the story told.
Thats why the shocker came out that RS is going pro, yeah right, he was pushed out basically. Thats also why he got in 3 plays! The greater part of the team wanted JLee and so goes the distracted play by the offense.
TIFWIW....from a players mouth...I am positive the rest of the story is gonna find its way out.
o baby!!
