it was a big game and it hurts more b/c it was the game to win. give it a few days and i think the spectacular nature of the reg season will bubble up for most of the fanbase. we've never lost the NC game before (or a world series final, either). only lost one SEC CC. it's hard to handle great reg season success and then lose the championshipo game.
And you have to realize there is a percentage of fans, mostly who never had to endure Curley and the last years of Dinardo, who want the coach fired after most losses. I don't know the percentages, but i would guess the younger fans comprise most of the internet board crowd and this is to be expected--no insult intended, just stating the obvious.
these are the glory days of LSU. we lost an opportunity to add a NC but the future is bright as long as the LSUnation doesn't devour itself.
i agree w/ most of what you said. Les was never the consummate 13-0 genius and he's not a buffoon, either. the perception of both extremes is not his fault. he's les. no more no less (bad pun)

The higher the pay the higher the expectations should be.
Less Miles ended the game with 2 times left and punted the ball with 3 minutes left in the game.
Those equal QUITTING!
He could have at least tried to score. Now we hold two records:
1)The first SEC team to lose a championship game
2)The only team to be shut out in a BCS bowl.
Embarrassing!![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)

Yes. Yes. You have all done a lovely job of proving me wrong.
....and people post a thread on this topic often because our fans are embarrassing.
But by all means bash the program to bits. Beat it up until it is no more. That should help a lot. Enjoy!

Why? They aren't the ones responsible for the humiliating performance on Monday.

Agree completely....this board reads like a bunch of spoiled children throwing a temper tantrum in a wal-mart.

That and we have TD. Not sure of the numbers but this has to be the most or one of the most visited fan sites of any college program.

I am ashamed of your shame.

I've said this about highschool coaches in the past. Overwhelming amount of talent our players have at times (and this year it was most of the time) over-shadow miles lack of ability to coach. The end.

And nobody hollers when LSU lost to somebody if they put forth an effort, or if a truly better team wins.
Texas lost in a dogfight because they lost their starting qb (lucky) His replacement nearly pulled it out. Oregon lost in a squeaker...they played for 3 qtrs!. Ohio State was outclassed, but still showed up with points. All of them gave some account of themselves. There were no jokes about their bus leaving town.
We absolutely were without passion and preparation....the responsibility of a head coach. What was left un-claimed was the chance of a lifetime for athletes, fans, and a University. The record is forever. Twenty years from now a W/L in a book. What will only linger in the minds of some was the lack of effort to claim it, and to assert the promenince of a program. Every pre-season and throughout the fall this board is full of "we don't get no respect" posts. Guess why.

No need to be ashamed, this just shows that you have a passionate fan base who loves their LSU Tigers, I would expect the same on Bama websites also if Bama had lost the game, that’s if there were any good Bama boards out there (which there is not) compared to Tiger Droppings. No one is laughing at LSU after this season they just completed an unbelievable season. I am happy to be a fan of 1 of the 2 best programs in the Country hands down, and if you guys haven't noticed you are preseason number 1 this coming up season and you have us at home (please don’t be a night game) so we may need to get use to the next 4 or 5 season's being like this one, cause I don’t see it changing anytime soon, except maybe who wins it all next year cause you guys are going to be loaded next season.

I agree! We have no right to criticise or complain. Hell, we've never played for LSU or coached there. The nerve of someone asking the question that most were wondering about. You people are embarrassing when you doubt Miles' coaching abilities. That can only mean you're all pussies and not grown men. It was just one game people, really only 7% of the season!
NOW, shut up! Look the other way! Do not question your bettors! Pay thousands for your season tickets, donate thousands to the TAF and QUIETLY fall in line, tools, er, I mean men!

Ohio State fans didn't do this when they lost to us. Texas fans didn't do this when they lost to Bama. Oregon fans didn't do this when they lost to Auburn. We must have the highest percentage of total puss fans of anybody in the country. Good grief.
And this is just inaccurate and stupid. Why did you waste the bandwidth to admit you live under a rock?

The real fanbase is upset ! Why ? I don't know, maybe cause what occured may never occur again in our lifetime. It's even bigger than seeing Halley's comet or Hale-Bop comet. It only happens every 70 or 80 years and I want to be there. LSU's football team had an opportunity to make history. LSU's football team had an opportunity to make every coonass in La. the happiest people on the planet.LSU's football team was 13-0 ,Playing for the National Championship, and most people thought LSU would spank Alabama. I am not mad. I am sad. I am 65 years old and will probably never see this again. Problem is: hope I never see this outcome again. LSU flat out embarrassed everyone who loved them. I am not saying it's anyone's fault and I don't want to blame. I'm just disappointed.
