I don't think it matters which one is effective. What matters is that one of them will be, and this is inevitable.

I hope we use Ware and Ford in the first half and like the first part of the 3rd quarter...hopfully Ware is fresh and can just pound on bama's D in the middle while ford uses his speed to stretch em out....then when they're gassed from that bring in Hilliard and Blue (both having really good size and speed) to keep punishing them until they quit like they did in OT last time

I agree, but KH was a beast as a sophomore in HS. Glad he got his chance. I think other than Ford, KH and Blue will have big games. I think we rush for over 200 yards, especially considering we had over 140 in the first meeting. Running game is better now. Shut down TR and we win. Bama has to shut all 4 of our backs down. Don't see that happening all game long. TR will have his moments, but won't score.

My guess is that he won't be a big factor. LSU is going to have to use their speed to get to the corners. My guess, Ford has a much bigger game.

Which will soften up the Bama fat boys in the middle, and Hilliard will run it down their throats in the second half.

I think you're going to see a heavy dose of Hilliard and Ford in the first half

Then probably a more diverse rotation that includes Blue in the second half

my only worry is that we only use ford for the speed option like we did on nov. 5th. Thats fine the first game as they never adjusted, but we didnt really have ford in the game for anything but running option after jj got in. I hope we use hilliard and blue for that as well.

Secretly im still holding out a small fantasy that we installed flex bone over the long break, and run triple option with hilliard and blue as the full backs and ford, blue, and magee at the wing backs. Ugh that'd be so cool to pull off.

Is anyone else concerned that one of the Bama linebackers is going to completely clean JJ's clock on the speed option and know him out of the game? This is my main concern.

I think he'll see some touches and be especially effective down the stretch when they start to wear down. That said, I see Ford having a good game as well

About the 2:37 mark KH catches a pass. The cornerback ducks and tries to untie KH's shoes. He knows what is coming if he tries to hit, or wrap up KH.

I want to see him hit the secondary late in the game when the gumps get tired.

I agree with this. Hilliard will have a better game than Richardson.

I think at LEAST two will be effective, and Bama will be gassed by the 4th at the latest.

Hilliard is terrific running that counter play. We killed UGA in the 2nd half with that thing and he had a great run on Auburn with it.

It should work v. Bama, 'cause they'll be gunning full speed to the edges as soon as the flow of the play goes toward a sideline. Pull a blocker to lead him into the hole and he'll be barreling over Bama's safeties with impunity.
