I'm not worried about any team in the nfl except green bay.
You should be worried about the 9ers imho. Going there on the road to face them after their week off would be a huge task. We certainly can win, but I'd say it's less than 50% chance. They are good and really underrated.

And our D-Line doesn't match up that great with O-Line
Add in crowd and atmosphere and I would confidently say, if we win that game we would win the Super Bowl

Neither ATL nor Detroit would be easy matchups. Beating a division rival 3 times in one season is practically unheard of, especially a team as talented as the Falcons, who happen to be getting healthy and in sync at the right time. Detroit did an awful lot to beat themselves in that first game. They were very competitive and a few breaks away taking it to the wire. Either way, we will be playing a team with a BIG chip on their shoulders.
THIS. There really is no bright side to the Saints' playoff possibilities this year unless the Rams beat the Niners, which by the way there goes Santa!
ATL/DET at home, then to a not just rested, but jacked SF (playing its first playoff game since when?), then to the frozen tundra in all likelihood. No way to sugarcoat any of this at all. Hope the Saints bring the LSU mentality to bear; i.e.: #SWAG

We wouldn't have to travel to SF until the 2nd round anyway, after a playoff game. Not like you can rest...
agreed, my bad. was thinking ahead.

That and the Falcons aren't losing to the Bucs the final game of the season. The Bucs are playing the worst football in the NFL lately.
Falcons can easily lose to the Bucs. They typically play each other tight.

I'll give you 1000-1 bet the falcons will beat the bucs.. ok

I'll put a dollar on that

I don't care how poorly the Bucs are playing.. they tend to play each other tight, and if anything the Bucs are due for the win.
I take more stock into how the teams play each other than how shitty the Bucs have been playing. They already beat the Falcons once this season.
I won't take the bet, because I believe Atlanta will win.. however to say the Bucs have no shot baffles me.
Just like the Saints of late being such a superior team.. tending to struggle against the Panthers late in the season.. no matter how shitty the Panthers have been over the years.. no matter if we were at home.

I heard all this same stuff about LSU before the season started. Tough schedules and road games don't matter if you're the best team.

If we beat Atlanta and then they beat Tampa, along with a loss by Detroit to Green Bay, Atlanta is the five seed, with Detroit as the six. In fact, any scenario where Detroit and Altanta finish with the same record means Atlanta is the higher seed based on Atlanta's win over Detroit.
So if we win tomorrow night, the only way that we would face Atlanta in the WC round is if they go on to lose to Tampa next week along with Detroit beating GB. So much of this thread and that full retard thread really serve no purpose.

GB will be resting most everyone next week, Lions should take that
Atlanta should beat Tampa next week
Really I feel it comes down to tomorrow night's game. If ATL loses the Saints clinch the division and ATL is stuck at the 6 seed.

If we beat Atlanta tomorrow then all Detroit has to do is beat a Gb team.that's probably resting a bunch of starters. They can definitely do that. It wouldn't matter if Atlanta beat TB or not.

SF doesnt scare me at all. Their offense looks like shite
Their offense is shite as long as you can stuff the run.. which the D has gotten better at.
Their D is really damn good, though. Good enough to keep them in the game.

What if Detroit rests a lot of their starters? I mean, the only motivation they'll have (along with Atlanta should we win tonight) is where they have to go on the road in their first game.

If we win today, we get a bye week against the Panthers.

For half a game at most. Still have to play the starters with the slim chance the Rams beat the niners. We're in the same position as last year really.

and Payton has as much as admitted it was his error to keep the starters in after the Carolina/ATL game was out of hand. That is when the injuries to Jenkins, etc happened. Sounds like he learned a lesson.

He didn't make a mistake, he better play his starters until that Rams game is out of hand.
