In all honesty, does anybody aside from LSU fans and OSU fans want to see LSU-OSU?

Do you think the rest of the country wants to see LSU-Bama again?

Ide have a hard time picking VT because of their schedule........I'll go with the puters that have OSU as the only team that has a shot.
I really dont think its fair to say that OSU has to win by a large margin and or that VT has to lose.....but that may indeed be the way it is.
Bama 's gonna get the rematch but to call it a done deal before conference championships are played and they are off......Is extremely disrespectful to LSU and all of CFB.

Probably not, I think Arkansas is better than OSU. Doesn't matter who LSU plays, they are winning the NC in the dome. They beat Bama at home, they would win by 10 vs Bama in the dome. Fans should just be happy LSU is in this position.

Are some of our fans really this ignorant??? Bama is better than OSU
How do you know this with 100% certainty. The ignorance is those that claim this as fact. (Again 08 Utah says hello)
Again, since we dont have a playoff, and every game counts, we must consider the body of work. If OSU beat OU they will have 1 loss with a better body of work IMO.

They don't want to see a 9-6 game again for sure.

You'd better believe ESPN is praying OSU blows away OU so their BCS show can quadruple its ratings on Sunday.
You nailed it here.

Every week they are just hoping against hope LSU loses.
No, they are not. ESPN does not like or hate LSU or Alabama. They like ratings because they equal money. And the biggest ratings game possible is LSU v. UA. Therefore, they would like LSU to beat UGA and OSU to beat OU, but not by much, and for OSU to win their bowl game to generate controversy to further increase ratings. That is what they are hoping for.

Anyone who thinks OSU is in the same league as either LSU or Bama doesn't know shite about football.

Losing to Iowa St, giving up 27 pts and 450 yards a game isn't part of a good resume. They only reasons they will get votes over Bama is some anti rematch sentiment. No one really thinks they are better.

No way in hell that that happens especially not in the next 24 months......The SEC would dissolve before any single SEC school got a LHN type deal....seriously.

Let me preface this by saying that I could care less who we play in NO.
If Okie State, Bama, Va Tech, and LSU where all undefeated, we would rank them by their wins.
Provided Okie State, Va Tech, and LSU win this weekend it would look like this:
1)LSU
2)Okie State
3)Bama
4)Va Tech

OSU's resume isn't better than Bama's. That's the biggest myth going right now. OSU's signature wins are K State, Baylor, Texas and Mizzou. Who cares? They also lost to Iowa State. Bama doesn't have great wins either but their only loss is to #1 in OT.

If a rule limiting the title game to conference champion were in place and those results happened Saturday, LSU would be eliminated from the discussion despite having a better record, playing a tougher schedule and beating Oregon decisively while the Ducks would probably go to the title game likely against Oklahoma. Why? Because Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Boise State would be eliminated too. Crazy? Not as crazy as Oklahoma State losing to Iowa State or Oklahoma face-planting against Texas Tech.
Strange things happen in college football. The dramatic impact of an upset is part of what draws us in. To some voters, a conference title will be important in determining which is the
This is one of the most annoying and ignorant arguments against this suggestion. What if you had a 8 team playoff and #1 lost to #8. Would anyone be up in arms that the better team with the better record was left out of future games?
Conference championships, particularly those with CCGs are unambiguous as it gets. These results should be respected as much as a playoff upset.

never mind OSU's body of work
That's the strange thing about this whole "debate". It seems as if it's just conceded that Alabama is a better team, and the only issue is whether you vote for the better team or the more "fair" result. It's totally ignored that a voter could vote for Oklahoma State AS the better team.

It depends on whether you are trying to figure out who the best team is or who the best conference champion is. Would you really put the Big East Champ into an 8 team playoff ahead of Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Stanford, Boise, UGA, Clemson or Michigan State?

The most logical & overlooked argument there is.
As well as objective.
