espn's millen and herbstreit are basically saying lsu's far tougher out-of-conference schedule is irrelevant if we end up losing to arkansas.
more specific, beating oregon in dallas and w.va on the road means nothing to pollsters (not computers) when compared to arkansas only/barely beating a&m.

what a bunch of bs.

millen is a joke. i wouldn't trust him to run my fantasy team without putting it in the ground.

I've never understood why that is important. I get that's all you have to go during the season, but in the final poll that should all level out.

Also, the way Arkansas lost to Bama. If we lose a really close heartbreaker that should be the biggest factor.

OU losing to K State in 2003 really fricked them up, huh?

would a few weeks prior beating bama on the road be considered "lately?" has lsu fallen apart that quickly since then?

why not play an easier out-of-conference schedule like arkansas' if millen is correct?

mainly due to the computers. since that time, the formula has been changed to take away this power.

I will guarentee that we will not beat you on Saturday.

So you should be ranked a head of a team that beat you by 24 because you lost earlier in the year than they did?

Either LSU or Alabama will be in the SEC CG. Good chance both are in the BCS CG.

Why would the Tigers have to beat the Hogs two days in a row?

Is that what they think WILL happen, or what they think SHOULD happen? I can see bashing them for the latter, but not the former.

When Bama Lost they dropped only one spot. The same weekend ARKY wins and drops one spot.

Frick Millen, Herbdisease and ESPN for pushing the gump agenda

But really, think about: it's what you've done lately. If you don't beat us Saturday, you probably won't play in the National Championship. The press and voters will surely put Arkansas in the championship game, which they should if Arkansas wins.

First, I'll wager $5,000 Arkansas does not beat LSU saturday.
I'll wager $1,000 Arkansas does not even get a first down saturday.

Second, if I really think about it, if Arky doesn't beat LSU FRIDAY they can pack their pags for the Cotton Bowl at best.

All season long, once the Hogs get out of Ar-Kansas, their defense more closely resembles Mr. Miyagi's philosophy of "no get hit if not there" than anything else.

In-state: 15 ppg, out of state: 32 ppg

On offense, it seems just as bad
In-state: 45 ppg, out of state 29 ppg

And just for grins...
LSU gives up 8 ppg in TS this year.

The closest thing to LSU's D that Arky has faced is Bama's, also on the road. 14 pts.

Say what you want about "improving throughout the season" -- LSU has the same argument.

I understand you are just as entusiastic and supportive of your team as we are of ours.

You're not "wrong", just misguided.

If LSU beats the spread (and I believe they will), good chance Arkansas not in the top 5 for the final polls.
