Mothers of two of Sandusky's victims lash out at Penn State

quote:
“I don’t even have words to talk about the betrayal that I feel,” said the mom of Victim Six. “[McQueary] was a grown man, and he saw a boy being sodomized ... He ran and called his daddy?”
quote:
Victim Six cried when he read the 23-page grand jury presentment released Saturday, his mother said. And not for himself.“He had no idea how bad it was,” she said. “He was lucky. He only had that one contact with him.”

They're really upset with Spanier as well. I am hoping Spanier is removed.

That's what I've been wondering.
Everybody's calling out Joe Pa b/c a 22-yr old grad student told him about what he saw, and all Joe Pa did was run it up the flagpole. He didn't contact authorities.
However, no one seems to be holding the 22-yr-old grad assistant accountable. He's a fricking voting adult and is getting a pass in the court of public opinion b/c he's not a dinosaur like Joe Pa.
I know some of it has to do with him being an unknown nationally, but he holds just as much moral responsibility as Joe Pa and everyone else all the way up to the top.

The anger is starting to head towards the grad arse't. I for one think he is disgusting human being and a pussy.

If I were Sandusky I would find a very tall bridge and jump, frick what is going to happen to him in prison (although he deserves it)

I agree about the GA. It seems as if he panicked when he saw a 10yr old boy getting raped in the shower, when he should have curb stomped that old man. WTF?!? How do you just run and hide in your office and call your dad?
You absolutely have to rip the head off the fricking old man as soon as you see this shite happening. I am more pissed at this guy than anyone not named Sandusky.

quote:First of all, I believe the assistant was 28 years old. Second, he is slightly more culpable than Paterno. Third, there are many people calling that coward out. Fourth, you are correct that everyone one of those people at PSU that knew about it have significant culpability for failing to act.
hat's what I've been wondering.

You make a good point Luke.
I, for one, am guilty of this as well. While reading the grand jury report I thought to myself "why didn't this grad assistant go to authorities," but even still I didnt feel the contempt I did for everyone else involved.
Strange.

This is what a cover up or a conspiracy looks like. there is enough blame to go around for them all. Everyone who knew about this deserves ridicule and prosecution for not doing enough. Paterno, McQuery, Schultz, Curley and I'm certain many others including McQuery's dad

I'd like to think I'd do something about it when I saw it happening, but honestly I would probably do what the GA did.

I'm with you, Neck. I think there gonna find that dude with a bullet in his brain before too long. He's 67--he can't go to prison. And not dragging his family--and the victims' families--through a trail might be the best way this could all end.

I would probably freak out and initially not do anything, but I would probably call the cops if a few months went by and nothing happened after telling someone at Penn State with authority.

you are a weak pathetic little person if you made eye contact just feet away from a helpless little kid and the rapist and you walk away and call your dad. Make no attempt to call cops or identify the boy. No attempt to stop the act from happening.

Well, it's pretty fricking clear to me:
1. Joe Pa probably knew about this WAAAAAYYY before McQueary ever told him. You don't just become a pedophile at age 55. There's a reason for Sandusky's surprise "retirement."
2. Joe Pa was afraid this coming out would fricking kill the image of PSU and he was afriad it would cause him to eventually lose his job and be forced to resign.
3. McQueary used this as leverage to get a full time job on staff.
Otherwise, why in the frick frickity frick would McQueary adn Joe Pa continue to let Sandusky on campus and let him office and use facilities and even run a camp using the University's name?
PSU was hoping this would all go away and Sandusky would possibly stop.
Imagine if this comes out? I bet Joe Pa gets questioned and eventually either resigns or starts losing because of lack of recruits. NO way McQueary gets a job on staff at PSU and possibly won't get hired elsewhere in major division I football.

Oh I fully expect Sandusky to hang himself in the next 48 hours.
