Oh, it was pretty electric, but epic?

It was pretty docile before and after. Maybe that has more to do with the VT shootings, but it wasn't as wild as it could have been.

I think it was so EPIC for you because of that one play when KW, and his calves, gave you ammunition in your JH v KW arguments.

Haha, that play was brought up a lot in the legendary arguments.

Game was still not an EPIC atmosphere. I think the fallout from that game, as far as LSU being touted as the best team in the country by Brent and Herbie, was EPIC. A benchmark in LSU football history.

VT was absolutely epic, game and atmosphere. That was one of the best gamedays I remember from my student days.

the only game i can remember @ LSU tha was bigger and more electric in my time there (2001-2008) prior to VT was UGA 2003

MAYBE that AU game in 2001

I think the game was a huge letdown tailgating wise because myself and tons of people I know kept telling ourselves and other that there "was just no way CBS wasn't taking 3rd saturday." So the wind went out of my pre-gaming sails when that conventional wisdom turned out not to be true.

The third quarter frenzy as we just started rubbing AU's faces in it was probably the best the stadium has been this year. The home schedule has sucked, we're blowing people out, they added parking fees this year, and we've played 3 of these early games. Its been a perfect storm for relatively shitty gamedays IMO.

UGA 03 holds a special place in my heart, and there a number of other misc SEC games that were fricking great, but for different reasons. People must be forgetting we were ranked #2 in the country with VT @7. First game at home, nationally respected OOC opponent, gtfo, we live for that shite.

eta: It was also an hour later, 8 PM.

sure it's been noted but it was also election day and hunting season started. combined with tailgating being down all season long anyways, it's not hard to believe it was less than previous years.

segue: you weren't a fan of tailgating or the game day atmosphere before. did you enjoy it more?

i'm somewhat apathetic. i did eat some badass jambalaya at one tailgate some of my friends were at

i only got to see about 10 minutes of any game prior to the LSU game, which made me very

the weather was nice. the clouds were a blessing
