Wow, great episode. It's probably the best premiere show that the series has had, IMO. The whole Edward James Almos religious duo thing is probably the creepiest adversary I can remember Dexter facing(or having to eventually).

I am wondering if the Olmos character is Colin Hanks's version of Dexter's dad. That is what the wife and I were thinking as we watched.

this season looks to be pretty epic. I like the idea of Dexter questioning his beliefs with these religious related killings.

There had to be some significance to the dinner scene with Batista and his sister. Either the mentions of the dad or the mention of Dexter leaving at night on his boat.
And what was up with the guy running into the restaurant/club and opening fire with body armor on? Seemed kind of odd unless I'm missing something

they mentioned the dad 3-5 times during dinner. dexter's boat/dexter just got a quick mention.

yeah she will become the obstacle he has to avoid.
how does the 2 apartment thing work? are dexter and harrison sleeping in one and "live" in the other next door? or maybe one is just storage. i feel like theres more to the extra apartment
